Hi all Turks here.

I'm from Thailand, a very far point on earth from Turkey.
- I found that your guys descended from Mongoloid people who looks like Mongolian, yet now you look like half European with large bridge nose. Anyone can explain?
- I read that you ancient people was one of those horse back riding nomad tribes North of China. Are there Turks left there? Do you need part of Russia to establish Pan Turkey?
- How do you feel about Russia Colonization of Raindeer hearder tribes, horse back riding tribes that ethnic cleansing 90% of there population? Are there also Turk speaking tribes there as well?
- Tujia people in China is said to be Turk. But I see no similiarity among Turkey population and Tujia. Any one can explain?
- What is Pan-Turkey idea? Are they related to horse back riding tribes like Mongol?
- Suppose Pan-Turkey idea success as wish, what is to happened?

I must apologize in the first place since the question may be too generalization of you people. I am from very far away.

Thanx

Turkic are mix of eurpopa and Huns( tribes of North China thousands years ago).

Huns were toppled by the Uyghers' ancestor thousand years ago, and then Huns moved to the west.

Turkic and Uyghers have blood relationship in some extent, but it's really very far. As for Thai, lots of Thai citizens have Chinese blood as well, people migrate always.

Now lots of Uygher immigrants to Turkey cause the culture of Uyghers and Turkics are quite similiar and they both are Islam people. Sometimes i just wonder why Some turkic support the Uygher terrorists that wanna seperate Xingjiang out of CHina? just because the Pan Turkic idea?

Well, you asked a lot questions.
There is nothing called Pan-Turkey. there is a term called Pan-Turkism, and also another related term, Pan-Turanism.
Turks basically live in the region between Europe and Asia. So, not surprisingly they look something between Europeans and Asians. As further you go west, the looks becomes more european, and as more you go east, the looks become more Asian.

To see where turks are living, look at the maps below:

Another related term, is pan-turanism which is related to a bigger branch of people:

Mongolian people are a different type of people from us.

today we face off a wide area wich had been controlled or wich ar controlled by turk.. and because of that it comes to confusion..

give you an excample of turkey.. turks named it with their ethnic name but everyone living there with citizenship is called turk.. why because eveyrybody with german, french, kanadian or else citizenship in germany france etc is a german or french and so on..

that means if you have the papers and feel like turkish than you are turkish.. but that means too many ppl in turkey wich are actually not turkic say that they are turk like many russian germans say that they are kazakh..

but as ethnic race there are many folks wich you can consider as one big splitted follk.. they mixed with different ppl around the world so they look different..

turkic countrys are Kazakh, Ozbek, Turkmenistan, Azerbaycan, Kirgistan and Turkey.. than we have many ppl like Uyghur or Altay and Tuva wich dont have a own country.. some of them are in better states like Tatars in Tataristan some of them in bad like Uyghur..

but like many ppl said there is no pan Turkey.. Turkey refers only to Turkey as state

The following are considered Turks (Turkic):

Anatolian Turks (Turkey)
Uzbeks
Salars (China)
Uyghurs
Kazakhs
Kyrghyz
Tatars

The early founders of the Mughal Empire (after centuries of breeding with the Hindu Rajputs the Turkic lineage was weened out but many South Asians have Turkic blood in them)

Turks also acquired a taste for adopting the Persian language and culture throughout many periods in history. Timur who founded the Timurid empire was an Uzbek who conquered Persia. His later descendent was Babur. Many Turkic nobility trace their lineage back to the Great Khans.

The Holy Jewish Talmud describes these early people as Turkic:

  1. Kozar (the Khazars)
  2. Pacinak (the Pechenegs)
  3. Aliqanosz (the Alans)
  4. Bulgar (the Bulgars)
  5. Ragbiga (Ragbina, Ranbona)
  6. Turqi (possibly the Kökturks)
  7. Buz (the Oghuz)
  8. Zabuk
  9. Ungari (either the Hungarians or the Oghurs/Onogurs)
  10. Tilmac (Tilmic/Tirôsz - Tauri)."

Azerbaijanis, Turkmen, Bashkir, Qashqai, Kumyk, and I am sure I am missing a few more...all in all a massive and dynamic people.

I am a Tatar by the way from the UK. I strongly oppose Russian policies in Crimea because they committed genocide on my people many times before and will slowly start that policy up again.

Turkic peoples and Mongol people are different branch. Turkic peoples didn't descend from Mongol but they lived together for a very long time so a lot of them mixed with each other. Turkic peoples from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan don't look mongol but Turkic. Some do have Mongol element because they mixed with each other. I'm Circassian Turk and Turco-Mongols had a very long presence there. That is why I also have somewhat Mongoliod eyes.

Although Russia was an enemy of the Turkic peoples. Nowadays they are very openminded about them. They treat Turkic peoples very well and their culture and religion are respected. This is not the case in China. That is why a lot of Turkic peoples are not very keen on China.

All Turkic peoples are related to each other through linguestics, DNA and culture. Some look more caucasiod and some more mongol. For Turkic peoples it doesn't matter how you look like but what your ideals are and what lives in your heart. Today there are a lot of independent Turkic states and semi-independent states in Russia like Tataristan. The goal of us is to grow economically before we do anything. There are a lot of natural resources in Central Asia which will definately help to kick star things. All of the Turkic leaders from the small republic of Kirgizstan to bigger Turkic republics like Kazakhstan has openly spoken about such an union.
