I am from Management background so won't MBA in mgt from a good college be helpful?

Know any good colleges in N America
True but one needs to get into the top 10 colleges to get a top notch pay package. If you are trying USA. Try
http://business.uc.edu/graduate.html . MS in Information systems and MS Analytics are the most sought after. I am from this university . All the students in MS in Information systems will get some kind of internship within the 9 months joining mostly from Delloite as we have lot of Alumnus in that company.

Internship is the key prior to joining for my PhD I did internship at a US university to better my chances of admission. So a Internship from a top company can also help u increasing your chances in admission.

I have heard good things about Rotman in UFT in Toronto....if you are interested in Canada. Have a very good friend who graduated from there with MBA a cpl years back and is now doing very well working for a major bank financial portfolio.

Several, when are you planning for?

I am planning to give me GMAT next year when my 3 year BBA course ends, after that 2 years of job exp & then I will apply for colleges.
Also, any idea how can you full fill the 4 year under-grad degree requirement?

It's getting from bad to worse. I could go on for three pages about what's happening, but would anyone be interested? It's sheer criminal fraud.

These are the freshers of lower-rung MBA institutes mushrooming everywhere and giving admission to just anyone with a 10+2+3 (even 10+2+2) degree. Both the quality of students and standard of teaching in these institutes are worth 10k-15k only in the job market. But many of them manage to learn on the job and move ahead in life.

Bang on.

The sad part is that many of them borrow, or their parents borrow, to get this phony education. It makes me sick. It made me sick.

A BCom degree means nothing.

These MBA types are being churned out in enormous numbers each year by a multitude of institutions. Young people seem to feel that this is the ticket to a highly paid job. nothing can be further from the truth.

I face these & fresh engineers every 4-6 months & feel sad as they cannot even fill up their interview forms correctly - poor grammar & spellings. Once employed these chaps cannot even compose a mail. All they are proficient in is Whatsapp & face book.

Moreover as soon as they get a job they start looking for another , most of them only seek the name of a company on their CV. while I do not grudge a man for looking elsewhere things like stability & experience means little to them.

If you pay more than the market why would they leave you. Problem is most companies take advantage of these graduates for their low end clerical work.

Salaries to such newbies are based on abilities & a Degree alone is not an ability. These people have no work experience . Unfortunately, work ex is not a pre requsite for admission to an MBA course. They learn on the job.

As I said they are unable even to draft a mail , that speaks of abilities.

graduates are paid market rate.. just that their market rate is quite low.. most graduates lack skills for the job..the company has to train them.. plus they are emotionally immature(highly disruptive)... even if you pay more than market rate(and take a hit on training and disruption and lack of productivity) they will leave anyway once they clock 2 or 3 years because those guys see high jump in salary.

Absolutely correct analysis. I might fit into your analysis somewhere. After I did my schooling from hindi medium collage, graduation was pretty difficult for me as I had made straight transition from hindi to English medium. More than a year went in just understanding how to speek well. It had very bad impact mentally especially due to few teachers(understand it would take much pressure for them to explain material to students like me). However I kept up and passed with good marks. Though finally I managed to score decent score for three year average thanks to forth sem onwards good output and similar good score in MAT. I was offered MBA from one collage from Kolkata, Asia Pacific, lal Bahadur shashtri collage from Delhi and MSB from mumbai. I chose MSB as my father was based in Mumbai. Though initially it was good, but third sem was ege opener, from that moment I knew that the big amount which paid for MBA is bad investment. But still sitting idle and cursing others is not the way forward and somewhere it was my fault for not checking collage property before taking admission. Anyways my first salary was 10k only when I had worked with IIT Bombay as a marketing executive (not my choice of field & expertise) but yes I enjoyed it. Since then one by one step I have only gone up, now handling more than 500 people team in card personalization unit(Visa/Master card/Rupay etc). My father had also big role in guiding me where ever I diverted. So my point of view is no matter where we start, if we really wish to go up successfully, then we have to build on our failures and keep learning and improving. That's the only way forward. Thank you.
