When it concerns Chinaās overall behavior, are you one of the critical admirers/doubters with a nagging suspicion that there's more than meets the eye?
A2A. Well, thereās definitely something more than meet the eye about China!
*China is the first country to run into the Covid Pandemic* . Before people could even figure out what it was, how to diagnose it, how to treat it, a country with *1.4 billion people*, high-density housing, and right during the biggest national holiday (the Chinese New Year) of the year and with massive amount of traveling.
It basically eradicated the disease in a bit *over 2 months*.
*No more deaths since April*.
*No āsecond waveā or āthird waveā whatsoever* .
And with the WHO collecting all the data on it by February. https://www.who.int/docs/default-so...na-joint-mission-on-covid-19-final-report.pdf
And yet, how China accomplished this feat is essentially proscribed by the Media. One can talk about how South Korea did it (except they are hitting a stronger third wave now), or how Japan did it (except the case numbers are higher than ever), or how New Zealand did it (except itās a tiny island country in the middle of the Pacific Ocean), but not China, even though itās a huge continental country, with 1.4 billion people, 31 provinces, and shared border with 14 other countries - all the things that make the Chinese experience much more relevant to the US and Europe. *_But no. Canāt mention it_* .
*China* is the only major economy *_experiencing positive growth this year_*, and itās by far the fastest growing economy in the last 40 years in the whole world.
List of countries by GDP growth 1980-2010
Wikipedia
In *1950*, *China* was the poorest country on earth, with an average life expectancy of 36 years, and a GDP per capita of ~ $50 per person. Historical GDP of China - Wikipedia
By 2014, *China* surpassed the United States in *GDP-PPP* and is expected to surpass the US in nominal GDP as well within this decade. Subscribe to read | Financial Times
*It lifted more people out of poverty than any other country*. And yet, there are no famous Chinese economists, no famous Chinese financial institutions. No Chinese ever received a Nobel economic prize.
The biggest wealth creation post-WWII, led by literally nobody ?
Itās quite unbelievable.
China spent 30 years planting trees and reducing deserts. 30+ years. Millions of people every year at tremendous cost. The result is so huge, you can see it from the NASA satellite. Itās the equivalent of creating a new Amazon forest. Itās the most significant reforestation project on earth, as observed by NASA. Human Activity in China and India Dominates the Greening of Earth
And yet, there are no famous environmentalists in China. None
The *Nobel Prize* went to some angry autistic *Swedish teenager*.
What has she accomplished exactly? . . .
Does any of these make sense to you? It makes no sense! Not just China, but the behavior of the West makes no sense either! Just what kind of _āoverall behaviorā_ would drive this kind of _āoverall resultā_ ? So yeah, thereās definitely something about Chinaās _āoverall behaviorā_ thatās not meeting the eye, because how come a backward country full of brainwashed idiots, led by successive repressive CCP assh*les for the last 70 years, gets to be the worldās growth engine for 40 years straight? A country with no famous doctors, no famous hospitals, and healthcare spending of only $500 per person a year gets to sail through the pandemic with minimal societal impact? A country with no notable economists, gets to become the worldās biggest economy by GDP-PPP?
I mean, there isnāt even an NYT Best Selling book about China thatās written by a real PRC Chinese,, who actually lives in China!
The āgold-standardā is still *Dr. Henry Kissinger*ās On China : Kissinger, Henry: 9780143121312: Amazon.com: Books
*Is there any other country in the world where ALL the ācountry expertsā are foreigners?*
If you write a fantasy novel, this plot would be deemed too bizarre to be *āsellableā*, wouldnāt it . . .
