Q. The next day, Pakistan retaliated but failed.

Our basic priority was to see the crisis winding down. I feel India's behaviour was appropriate and proportionate and should mark an opportunity to avoid this thing happening again and with the new government in Pakistan impending to see if it might provide any opportunity for bilateral discussions.

John Bolton is spot on here. At no point did he endorse the butt-hurt questioner's view - if you bother reading your own article.

Do you actually speak English or just guess at it? @Mighty Lion

India's behaviour after their planes were shot down was entirely in keeping with a militarily defeated force that had no way to retaliate barring an escalation to missile strikes. India could not recover their airmen. India shot down its own helicopter rescue mission elsewhere. It was pandemonium.

Good air strike message delivered loud and clear we will strike terror camps by air if we choose too even it means crossing loc and use increasingly longer range stand off weapons

Spice has range of 100km
Now Brahmos has arrived this range is 400 km and Rafael has arrived carrying scalp cruise middle range 300km

Our options are so much better

@Vergennes is it really so hard to type the proper name of the jet

India humilated itself

Just as now all states know China has humilated India and their is little you can do about it

. When the foreign military suppliers drain India of its $400 billion in reserves, that “special relationship” will be disappear.[/QUOTE]

Stop reducing our official reserves

Its 520 billion dollars
Twice Pakistani GDP
Not 400 billion that was the figure 2014

And we don't use reserves to buy weapons we use our annual military budget which is either 45 billion without salaries and pensions or 60 billion if you include them..

Out of this approx 15 billion a year is used to buy weapons both indengious and oversea
