it's more expensiveYou think the rural areas in the US are expensive?
Chinas per capita gdp is $14k now. That article was from a decade ago.OH LOL!

We are still a poor country...even Taiwan's per capita is over 8 times ours.

According to that globaltimes article it was 2020 not a decade ago...but I never trust any mouthpiece of the Chinese government to be truthful. They are just known BS'ers.
Well, you don't believe Chinese data. Then let's refer to your data that our per capita is 4196 US dollars, then our 1.4 billion people should be $5.8 trillion.
In other words, our economy is similar to that of India. OK, I'm going to sign up for the telephone fraud class.
This is the link you sent. The standard mentioned above is that the family income of four people is 27750 dollars, which is 6900 dollars per person.

LOL! The example 4 person scenario family is usually interpreted as 2 adults with 2 kids. So i don't see how you are expecting kids to be generating income to get their family above the poverty level. So it is $27,750/2.
Do you think the 600 million low-income people mentioned in China do not include the elderly and children?
There are only 620 million working age adults (aged 18 to 55) in China.
Why do Chinese data need to consider the elderly and children, but your data cannot consider the elderly and children?
As if the US doesn't have children or elderly?
The per capita formula is the same in the US as China ...so don't argue it isn't.
The only difference is the definition of who is poor by each country. The US says under ~$37/day. China is more closer to the UN definition of only a few dollars a day.
Sure, only the western media is capable of facts. Lol that’s why your understanding of the world is so delusional.>:Global Times Published: 2020/5/29 21:58:40
