Old Trafford to host India-Pakistan World Cup clash

Very exciting format 10 teams play each other once and top 4 qualify.

But what i see is Pakistan, India would be driving the worldcup 2019 and the most viewership and money generated by these two teams.

Although I don't celebrate the genocide or massacre of any nation or religious group of people somehow I still feel the violence of partition could happen again but on a huge catastrophic scale. This is why Pakistan army should create a 'citizen defence force' so border villagers could defend their families incase of war. Yes that's the job of the army but during war time it's every man for himself. We already have dozens of armed villages but they need to be organised into a structured defence force free from linguistic, cultural and tribal/ clan loyalties. @PAKISTANFOREVER

Agree with you for the most part. But the indian military are now fully aware that if they enter Pakistan en-masse now and try to repeat the atrocities of 1947, that Pakistan has the ability to wipe india off the face of the earth FOREVER. That is the REAL reason why that despite all the indian rhetoric and delusional bluster of attacking Pakistan, they remain far too weak, powerless and incapable of fighting the Pakistan military despite being more than 7x bigger than us and having abundant access to the world's most advanced weapons systems whilst we are denied this privilege. It's also the same reason why the americans were able to destroy Iraq, afghanistan, Syria, Libya etc and could do diddly squat to Pakistan despite us being on the neo-con hitlist.

In principle I agree with Pakistan having a home defence guard, a militia to assist in fighting foreign invaders.

Such an assault would not be a one off occasion the end of such scuffle. Locals would hunt down the individual and northern style 'jump him'. I remember a decade a go Pak played India in the midlands and Pak won the match. A group of Sikh youth droe around and spotted and elderly Pakistani lady and shouted horrible abuse towards her in Punjabi. The lady would have been considered as anyones grandmother. Such vile incidents will only lead to further community tensions. A friend of mine at the time witnessed this and told about this incident.

I know the Sikh community well, these idiots must have been drunk or very stupid. Generally their youth are respectful to elders and well behaved, you also don't see many at these games as they don't support India since 84.
The times have also changed as well.

I have no interaction with the Sikh community so I am unable to understand their actions, motivations and behaviour towards others. However i still respect their religious and cultural traditions.

Citizens must be prepared to defend their land and families. No doubt the enemy state will hire their own militia to carry out reprisal attacks against the defenless. Pak men and women from Kashmir, Punjab, south Punjab and Sind must receive basic military, survival & first aid medical training incase a day comes when the borders cease to exist. Look at the poor state of the Rohingya it is enough to motivate us to create a civil defence force.

Agreed. But unlike ALL other Muslim nations and most other nations generally speaking, Pakistan has the military capacity to wipe out nations that are even 7× bigger than us and cause unacceptable damage to global superpowers. Hence NO nation on earth can invade or attack us no matter how loudly our enemies bark like the dogs that they are.

Always better to be prepared then to sit back in complete confidence. 1990s Gulf war Saddam Hussain had a formidable army but it crumbled and later ceased to exist a decade later. Pakistanis need to become a nation of organised fighters. I watched a lecture by an Islamic speaker who wasn't particularly pro Pakistan but openly encouraged the Muslims of Pakistan and Bangladesh to form smaller militarised communities in the vast rural heartlands of our nations to avoid the 'cold start' occupation by the hostile enemy state of India. This would enable the smaller communities to survive and defend their lands/ families and would be impossible for the invading army to occupy and control our lands as the communities would be spread far and beyond in inhospitable territory for the enemy to access without facing reprisals.

I'm pretty certain something like that already exists in part.
