Ohio police 'brutally arrest' Arab man for being an Isis

The police acted professionally. The video shows that. The only unprofessional thing I can see is them throwing the phone in he bushes and that could be SOP for dealing with explosive vests. Now it is up for debate if the call made by the employee was professional or not. I wouldn't blame her either. Just another of the many incidents to follow because of how the world is turning out to be. Blend in or stay home. People are going to act irrationally.

.
The cops got a call from someone so they will try to act and check....In this case a xenophobic person assumed arab guy=isis and panicked. People do pranks using these terrorist calls too:

.
They were brutal with me," said Ahmed Al Menhali, 41, who was dressed in traditional clothes when he was arrested on Wednesday in Avon, Ohio. “They pressed forcefully on my back. I had several injuries and bled from the forceful nature of their arrest.
The video showed nothing of the kind occurring. Not even close.

.
The police and armed forces were very professional on this occasion but I think the fact one of them had a camera and they knew that they were getting recorded had something to do with it.

While almost all of the prisoners in the US are poor and with more than 50% of them are African American and Latinos while they being a minority speaks volumes of the inherit biasness and racism that is prevalent in the US armed forces, albeit not all of the police are like that but majority of them are.

.
It's stupid to say, "They were brutal with me!" when the video you posted of the arrest, clearly, unequivocally, shows the opposite. There was no, "arrest at gunpoint". There was no harassment. There was no physical violence of any kind. The police were very professional and polite and when the man inexplicably, fell down, the police immediately rendered assistance and called paramedics.

Exactly...If someone do not like America or American people, no one is forcing you to come here...Strange perception..It is the duty of the police to react such alerts...Every day when we woke up, we have to read a news where some blast by some islamic fanatics which killed hundreds of innocent lives...So it is better to be cautious than feel sorry...

. .
It could have been done in a more civil manner, since the guy was unarmed, but expecting you to understand that, would be asking for too much.

The cop is pretty much following the SOP on arrest and acted quite professionally.

, the only time a weapon is used in the act of arresting is when the Police approach the man, which is basically standard operating procedure

He was then forced to the ground immobilized (by an officer knee to the back of the suspect) and applied handcuff. He was then frisked for any weapon before allowing to sit up and then stand up, and he was then searched in detail, only after then, he can be cleared as unarmed. Afterward, his handcuff is taken off.....This is pretty much what the Police should do at that point.

The police in this video act courteously and with minimal force. This is actually quite a textbook arrest and I would not be surprise if the Avon PD use this video as Training Material.

.
The lady who made the call should be under fire not the cops
No one was bothered to address this point. Cops believe in every TOM, DICK and HARRY without proper confirmation..They should charge such dumb callers who make such stupid assumption based on lies and ignorance which actually bring trouble for innocent people and also waste time of police..

..So it is better to be cautious than feel sorry...
You seem as Dumb as the lady who made this call which was based on her wet dream rather than facts..such dumb american are source of embarrassment

First it was the right call as the police received 911 reports, when the sister of a woman working as a hotel clerk in the Cleveland suburb of Avon, Ohio, called police to report that a man at the hotel in “full head dress” had pledged allegiance to Islamic State.

What were the cops supposed to do?. I saw the video. they did it in a professional manner. Kudos to the Ohio cops.

Even official Apology was given, Avon’s mayor and police chief apologized to al-Menhali on Saturday, the station said, broadcasting video of the meeting at the Cleveland office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations.

Well, if you see nothing wrong with the video, then why are the mayor and police chief apologizing!!!!!

now look at the video in the link I provided, tell me the man in that video is also wrong and cops had every right to pull him over because someones sister or brother called them about a suspicious man walking on the side walk.

US policeman charged for pushing Indian man

A US policeman has been charged with assault after a 57-year-old Indian man was thrown to the ground, an incident he says left him partially paralysed.

Footage from police cameras shows a confrontation between Sureshbhai Patel and two officers in an Alabama suburb.

Mr Patel speaks no English and tries to walk away from the officers, who eventually shove him to the ground.

He has filed a legal case accusing the officers of racism, and the FBI is also investigating.

Police officials in Madison, Alabama, apologised to Mr Patel and his family at a news conference on Thursday.

They said one of the officers involved in last Friday's incident had been arrested, and officials had recommended that he be fired.

The officer involved "did not meet the high standards and expectations of the Madison Police Department", said Madison Police Chief Larry Muncey.

Mr Patel had only recently arrived in the US to help care for his grandson, who was born prematurely.

He was walking outside his son's home on Friday morning when police said they received a call from a neighbour about a suspicious person.

According to the civil rights complaint filed in court on Thursday, Mr Patel told the police officers who stopped him "no English, Indian", and gave his son's house number.

A police officer then threw him abruptly to the ground, injuring him seriously, the complaint said.

Mr Patel's son, Chirag Patel, told the local media in Alabama that his father had to undergo surgery to fuse two vertebrae in his spine and that he was still unable to move his left leg.

This is what I said they dealt the case professionally. You are just backing up my statement.

Apology was given because he said he was from the embassy in the video and probably was a diplomat from UAE.

I wonder are all Pakistanis like you. No offence though.

Arabs are responsible for the reputation they have built around themselves..

No, apology was given because they know they were wrong, no one apologizes, if they are right and following the protocol.

Well, I don't understand Gibberish and gobbledygook, but I am pretty good at reading mind and in your case it's almost impossible. Therefore, no offence taken my special friend.
