Oh Dear, SU-30 Has Really Broken Modi's Heart

I still remember from February 2019 when Indians were boasting that SU-30MKI created an electromagnetic veil to blind PAF and Mig-21 were hiding behind that electronic / Jamming veil, created by the "Beast of the east".
Then Abhinandan burst out from behind the SU-30 line and attacked PAF F-16 .
No wonder bollywood is in India, as even Internet Indians can write Matrix style storyline.

You have a point here, IMO Indians were of the same intention as you outlined. PAF's planning got the upper hand with the help of almighty ALLAH SWT; else if Indian abled to fulfill her wet dream, imagine what could be the outcome.
If we go thru the history of Indian purchase of equipment, PAF is no more airworthy since India purchased her first PHALCON AWACS from Israel.

Su-30 is actually an extremely potent platform with amazing airframe. The only problem is the electronics and materials.

That is why J-16 takes the Su-30 airframe (partially) and adapts the shape to best fit with Chinese materials and avionics.

But in certain wrong hands, even a highly potent aircraft is just a Cessna.

Other than the J-20, which of China's jets are its flagship air-to-air combat/aerial domination and SEAD jets?

J-16 is definitely the premier SEAD plane. Has the large flanker airframe and very high payload combined with AESA radar, jamming pods, ARMs and long range cruise missiles. It is still very powerful in air to air as well, retaining the standard Flanker advantages, but 2 seater is typically best reserved for air to ground since the weapons officer isn't needed for air to air.

J-10C is an amazing air to air fighter. AESA radar, IRST, PL-15, canards for extreme maneuverability... Only thing missing is that it has a short range.

Trolling aside, the Su-30 is a very capable aircraft. Why does India need Rafales?

@Bilal Khan (Quwa) @Windjammer
It has issues that were not surprising to a lot of us years ago.
The MKI has a mixture of systems that don't nesscaruly gel well and create maintenance issues.
It has a massive RCS that can be seen from a very long distance.
Others issue too but I have to eat dinner!

Thanks!

How does the J-10C compare to the JF-17 Block 3?

Thanks!

How does the J-10C compare to the JF-17 Block 3?

It is likely better due to better engine and airframe design leading to faster speed, larger radome and better maneuverability (canards).

Unfortunately JF-17 is airframe limited. it has a smaller engine, which means lower maximum speed and smaller airframe which means smaller radome, less munitions, etc. It also doesn't have canards for maximum maneuverability.

Got it --- thanks again.

And the J-31 / FC-31 is still in the running as a carrier-based fighter?
