The project was only launched in January of this year. At that time, there was no line type and design, and everything had to start from scratch. However, China Harbour Engineering Co., Ltd. overcame various difficulties and completed the overall design in just three months, and dispatched personnel and equipment. More than 2,000 field staff completed the task on time and with a minimum of 205 days.
He believes that the "Independence Avenue" not only helped the APEC summit to be held smoothly, but also provided more convenient transportation for local people, improved the efficiency of social operation, and facilitated the next step of the development of the social economy of Papua New Guinea.

中国交通建设集团有限公司海外事业部总经理陈重说，“独立大道”是进出APEC会场的一条主要干道，是否能及时完工，对APEC会议的顺利进行意义非常。然而，“独立大道”的建设时间非常紧迫，项目于今年1月份才启动，当时线型和设计都没有，一切都得从零开始。而中国港湾工程有限责任公司克服种种困难，仅用3个月就完成了总体设计，并调遣好人员和装备。超过2000名现场工作人员利用短短的205天时间，就按期保质地完成了任务。

“中企要为每一个民众提供便利，贯彻‘人类命运共同体’理念”，陈重进一步指出，中国的“共商共建共享”原则及打造“人类命运共同体”的发展理念获得了许多国家的认同，而中企要贯彻这一理念，努力为当地寻找新的经济发展点，贡献“中国方案”和“中国智慧”。
