Bomb found on Indian train

Kolkata - Indian police defused a bomb found on a train in the eastern city of Kolkata on Monday, police said, three days after a blast at a mosque killed 11 people in the south of the country.

The train was headed for Tarakeshwar, a Hindu holy town, about two hours west of Kolkata. The bomb was found during a routine security check minutes before the train was about to leave the city's Howrah station.

"We have identified it as an improvised explosive device and our bomb squad has separated it," said Amar Kanti Sarkar, a top railway police officer.

Security was stepped up across Kolkata, particularly at train and bus stations, police and witnesses said. Extra forces were deployed and passengers and rail cars were being checked closely, they said.

Warnings were being issued on public address systems to report unclaimed objects to the police.

Eleven people were killed in the southern city of Hyderabad in a bomb blast at a 17th century mosque during Friday prayers. Five people were shot dead by police trying to stop subsequent violent demonstrations in the communally sensitive city.

Indian intelligence agencies and security analysts say Islamist militant groups, backed by Pakistani spy agency ISI, increasingly target Muslim and Hindu religious places to trigger communal clashes between the two communities.

Hindus account for more than 80 percent of officially secular India's 1,1 billion population. With an estimated 140 million Muslims, the country is home to the world's third largest Islamic population after Indonesia and Pakistan.

Recently I read a novel based on a true story of a Pakistani Spy working in india after 1971 war and I think he himself is the writer as well but this is not confirmed. Book's name is Ghazi and its a very inspirational story. I would recommend it to all especially ISI fans. The book also exists online the link is below.

Then he should realize that our daughters will never challenge the writ of Gov, they will not stock up arms in a mosque, they will never put children in dangerous position, they are educated about their religion & will never support terrorist or die for them.

Pak Army upgrading 'ISI's North wing'

Jammu, Contrary to Islamabad's claims of doing its best in the global war on terror, the Pakistan Army is said to have upgraded the north wing of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) to 'ISI India-Bangladesh' in order to spread militancy across India.

The result of this upgrading was evident from recent blasts at Hyderabad and involvement of a Manipur youth in militancy-related activity in Jammu and Kashmir.

According to a Daily Excelsior report, the intelligence network of Bangladesh has also started working for the ISI, which was revealed by the arrested Manipur militant during his interrogation.

The report said that a recently arrested Pakistani militant, Zaffar Iqbal of the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), revealed during his interrogation that the ISI has created 'Agents of Influence' and 'sleeper cells' to boost their propaganda machinery and project the "cause of militants" in India.

Zaffar was quoted as saying that the ISI has created a "special fund" of Rs.50 crore for disbursement among 'Agents of Influence' and sleeper cells not only in Jammu and Kashmir, but other important Indian cities as well.

Sources said the 'Agents of Influence' had been assigned the task of stepping-up the propaganda machinery in support of militants and to campaign against security forces by raising the bogey of human rights violations.

According to Zaffar's statement, the ISI has increased the number of such agents as they carry considerable influence in society. It is for this purpose, that the ISI has kept a huge amount at the disposal of militants for disbursement among 'Agents of Influence,' the report claimed.

Same old Indian , Blah Blah , when they dont seems to find any thing they out all the charge on ISI, like ISI is some sort of "Jin Bhoot" who cannot be captured.
