The US government wont listen as they are closing massive deals with S Korea, Australia, Taiwan, India, Japan ... Vietnam, the Philippines for F-35s, Ospreys, other military hardware and even 2nd hand warships

the united states once invited China to co-lead the world, but China refused as it is not ready for the position. as the new type major-country relationship, according to my poor understanding, means a buffer zone before China become ready for the proposal from USA. in detail, China's proposal about the new type relationship is more like the treaty between Spain and Portuguesa, Tratado de Tordesillas, east to the line, USA does whatever it wants, no inference from China, west, China does so, and USA respects whatever China does.
