Officer Assaulting a Peaceful Female High School Student in South Carolina

Unless she has a fire arm or physically threatens others officer has no business treating student like that. Can an office enter the school campus without the permission of principal ? In india without principal or head masters permission police cannot enter the premises or make any provocative move which threatens the sanctity of the institution.

So why was the officer there in the school ?

. .
What the officer did there was wrong , this is not the way to deal with a verbally disruptive student , if at all he had to use force to remove her, could have grabbed her from the arm and behind the collar , rather than throwing her to the ground

But perhaps america is a more violent place than one might know, its interesting to note that the school had a 'resource officer', up until seeing this video I did not know what an SRO is so I looked up

School resource officer - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

SROs are typically employed by a local police or sheriff's agency and work closely with administrators in an effort to create a safer environment for both students and staff. The responsibilities of SROs are similar to regular police officers in that they have the ability to make arrests, respond to calls for service, and document incidents that occur within their jurisdiction. School resource officers typically have additional duties to include mentoring and conducting presentations on youth-related issues. School resource officers play an integral role in the public school system and have had many positive impacts on the students that they are involved with.

I think this is indicative of a larger problem in US public schools in socially challenged areas

Wait...so this is not even a real police officer. He's like a deputized security guard.

. .
This happens in India too but only to poor people like ricksaw pullers.
I doubt the cop would have treated a white girl like that.

also happens to poor blacks in the US of A.
In Pakistan if a police office attacks a female like this, he is as good as dead no matter how poor or how black that female is

That is why Pakistani police should come over to the US and train American police.:lol:

Let's leave the race business out of this. Having talked to fellow colleagues in the states this is what happened. The girl in the video is a very nasty piece of work. She was constantly disrupting the lesson and the teacher, who is also African American, told her to leave. She refused and told him that things will get "worse". The officer has come along and asked her to leave politely, she again has refused. She has now upped her game to refusing to comply when an officer of the law tells her to. He then proceeds to use force, and if you watch the video you can clearly see her punching the officer in the head, several times, so has now assaulted an officer of the law.
He has been reassigned and I think that is sufficient.

his is Officer Ben Fields assaulting a peaceful female high school student at Spring Valley High School in Columbia South Carolina. Students and graduates both told me he has been brutal like this for years.

This was earlier today.

The Sheriff's Office just confirmed for me that this student was not physical, but that she was "verbally disruptive" and that the officer was "forced" to do this since she "resisted arrest".

As far as I know, the freedom of speech in the U.S isn't about assaulting peaceful citizen or is it?

@waz @Akheilos @Horus @DESERT FIGHTER @WAJsal @DESERT FIGHTER @Devil Soul @Indus Falcon @fakhre mirpur

peaceful? why do you think the cop was called for in the first place. you think he just randomly went to that classroom to pick on this peaceful girl??

:rofl::rofl:

What is the other side of the story not shown in the video?
@C130

Of course how could the American officer be to blame. The poor kid was clearly "threatening" the officer. Look at how she is sitting quietly-she must be Usama bin Ladens sister. She was planning to bomb the entire school. She was blood thirsty cunning and evil-unlike the Americans who are peaceful and haven't done genocide under their noses in the Congo or Rwanda. Have bases there and troops there but could not stop genocide. I mean this is a very peaceful race we are talking about and the kid threatened them. Unacceptable! lier lier lier. The girl wants sympathy from the community.

Your sarcasm and bias aside, Sir, the matter is under investigation. The officer was asked to ensure that the student was removed from the classroom for whatever she did not shown in the video. Her refusal to comply with the officer's request is the contributing factor here. The final report will tell us the true story.

Edit: "A spokesman for the sheriff's department said the officer had been called to the classroom because a student had refused to leave the room when a teacher and a vice principal instructed her to do so. The spokesman added that no injuries were reported."

or Pakistani public can teach American public how to protect sanctity of woman :)
Yeah...THAT part of the world is going to teach US about women ? Am sure American women are clamoring for that. You do know your fellow Pakistanis are laughing at you, no ?

Police guys like him give the rest a very bad name. He definitely need some training about self control and how to defuse situation like this especially when they are dealing with lil kids. It seem blatant misuse of power. I bet he would be dealing with her rude daughter at home like this for her misbehaviour? Right?

That would explain why no one in the classroom seemed surprised.
