What's new

Of protecting Earth's ecology

1. No space tourism. Rockets still emit alot of gases into atmosphere during launch. If someone want to go to mars or moon, please go. But don’t plan to return.

Space rockets which use Liquid Hydrogen + Liquid Oxygen, or Liquid Methane + Liquid Oxygen... I don't think they cause pollution.

@Hamartia Antidote

But, banning privately owned car mean death of some 10+ trillion economy , or should i include the millions of barel oil producing industry too. Just 1 company aramco is worth 1 trillion USD plus. This mean industries loose almost 400-500 billion dollar annual ... now in some cases countries own industries while in others industries own countries. So banning PRivately own cars is not an easy/practical/affordable thing.
Instead

I am not talking about banning the petroleum industry. I am talking about reducing the usage of petroleum products drastically.

If we are to be seen being serious in removing global pollution, we must take serious and big steps. Earning profits in a Capitalist structure should be the least of our concerns. :)

2. Each Countries must produce the “whole electricity requirements of its Electric cars” ,whole capacity through solar.

As I said in the OP, if we replace privately-owned petroleum-fuelled cars with privately-owned battery-fuelled electric cars, there will be no ultimate advantage because the industry needed to manufacture millions of these electric cars will end up creating even more pollution.

Methane is about 30 times more potent, for heat entrapment, and consequent global warming, as compared to the carbon dioxide.

1. I agree that Methane by itself is a warming gas but tell me ( I don't know this ) if Liquid Methane being burned with Liquid Oxygen will create pollution ??

2. Any possible wrong effect of LM + LOX rocket engine will, in the bigger scheme of things, not matter much, when we will have banned other pollution-causing things, like privately-owned cars and two-wheelers.

When methane (CH4) is burned and the process of combustion is 100% complete, then it would be converted into carbon dioxide.

Probably, you are right. I am an environmental engineer by profession; but I never worked on air pollution or global environmental problems like global warming, ozone depletion etc. I mostly worked in the field of water pollution and associated areas.

Mostly water, some carbon dioxide. The formula is CH₄[liquid] + 2O₂[liquid] → CO₂[gas] + 2H₂O[steam]

Most Rockets do produce pollution, with the notable exception of those that use the Hydrolox reaction (Hydrogen and Oxygen).

But creating “oxygen” and then keeping it in “liquid form” do need energy As far as i know... so if this space tourism is on major scale, we again end up with same logistics cycle that we have in car industries and fuel.

Haha. I know why you not considering this issue (because it damage capitalist world and that one thing i am sure you want to happen), but you have to consider those humans, millions in total maybe, who are employed by this industry of oil and gas.. plus other fuels. Now i also know the new approaches will also create jobs, i agree. But here your major focus is on “less vehicles on roads plus public transport”. Which means whatever we will get, it will be less then todays stats and oil + car industries may have to reduce their production plus workforce some 70-75% (if you seriously implement what you planning for)
