Obscene Praise for the Pakistani Muslim Who Murdered a ‘Blasphemer’

Unfortunately will have to disagree here. There are plenty of people in Pakistan who will not share utensils with Christians unless they have been washed. Especially if those Christians happen to be cleaners and sweepers. I have witnessed this first hand in Pakistan. When I asked why this discrimination. I was told these cleaners don't maintain the same level of hygiene as we do.

Then why is he blaming his own handlers for the blasphemy law?
Well that is how you fool Muslims which he has miserably failed to do so

I already mentioned that there are exceptional discrimination at individual level. Collectively no hotel, no restaurant no public place bar non-Muslims. They are allowed to eat and drink at public places in Pakistan.

Coming to your statement that there are plenty of people who still does no share utensils with non-Muslims in Pakistan; YES there are plenty of them.

We here in Peshawar in our colony have Christian sweepers who perform their duties regularly and at times our neighbours serve them tea or other eatables in separate plates which they do not use for eating themselves later BUT there are plenty of others who eat in the same pots. My house is one of them whenever we offer them water of tea or at times something to eat we wash and use the same utensils for ourselves. Islam focuses on cleanliness NOT segregation.

there is no sin in serving non-Muslims in same pots or eating with them.

What exactly your "it's" mean?
Would these Muslims act in the same manner if the non Muslim is Hindu rajput or kashmiri pandit(I know there aren't any one of them there..but just a hypothetical question)..I think it has more to do with the caste system in south Asia than Islam or Christianity..it is really sad to see that these Muslims who themselves were once untouchables and converted to Islam to escape from the clutches of caste discrimination ,are subjecting others to such inhuman practices.

P.S:in Kerala some towns and villages have separate churches for dalits ..they don't visit churches which are built for high caste Christians.

I cannot say what would be behavior of those Muslim Pakistanis in other areas of Pakistan but I can tell you about my province Khyber Pukhtunkhwa Province of Pakistan; YES here in our province majority of Muslims would act and do act in the same manner if the non-Muslim is a Hindu. Here we share food with Hindus/Sikhs etc etc without any taboo. Again there are many people who would not act the same for non-Muslims. But majority do. My brother when he was at college did have Hindu friends and he would used to eat with him alike as he would do with his Muslim friends. I used to travel to Islamabad through a private bus service Daewoo regularly and one of the bus Hostesses was a Hindu girl who was my best friend and whenever she was on duty we used to eat together.

Islam does not forbid eating or sharing same utensils with non-Muslims. As far as cast system is concerned this stupidity may have some traces left in Punjab and and feudal areas of Pakistan but in KpK we have no such thing.

Khyber pakhtunwa historically had cultural links with Afghanistan more than Punjab and sindh..caste system was not prevalent there...that is the reason people there could mix with everyone..I bet ,convert those untouchable Christians and Hindus into Islam tomorrow, you would not find many Muslim families of punjab and sindh willing to give their grooms or brides in marriage to them.

Even in India ,ashrafi Muslims(who claim their ancestors were Arabs)don't generally marry into the families of Indian Muslims..influence of caste system..even syeds(who claim they are descendants of prophet Muhammad)would not marry non syeds.

P.S:These syeds look as much south Indian or north Indian as any other Indian...

Muslims do NOT have cast system. Indian Hindus often use the excuse by using this word ashrafi or ashraf or afzal to argue that there is cast system among Muslims  well there is no such thing ashraf or afzal among Muslims. Ironically this old rant is used in India NOT in Pakistan. Even if we talk about Indian standard then old nawab shawab families have this ashrafi thingy that too was not based on casts but based on social status or wealth. Even today almost every development country has this status divide but this should not be confused with Hindu cast system since despite class divide among Muslims based on their economic conditions there is no untouchability in our religion. in Feudal system yes there is but not in faith.

As far as Syeds are concerned Indeed many families were and even today some are reluctant to marry off their daughters to a non-Syed BUT That is not at all based on any untouchability concept BUT it was due to the fact that syeds being descendants of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), hence women from that bloodline carry a lot of respect for Muslims and there is fear that one (husband) might not be able to give as much respect to bloodline of the Prophet which the Bibi deserves.

But this trend has changed a lot and now it is common to marry a Syed outside own clan.

As Dawn reported a few years back, Hanafi religious school agrees but says this isn't good for the public to know: link.

I am a layman I cannot comment on Ulema and their stand. I can only say that I read Quran with translation and every time I read I find that ALLAH is Merciful.

The link you have posted I had already read all parts of this article at Dawn . These parts should be posted for readers for their information.

Did I say Islam has caste system?but it is definitely influenced by Hindu practices (in Indian subcontinent)..the very thing of not drinking water from same cup as that of christian is related to Hinduism.,you won't see such practices in other countries.

Yes that is a fact. But let us give people sometime at least in this part of the world I often feel that since conversion in Pakistani areas linked to Hinduism in the past is not that ancient hence it would need few more decades to change old habits. :)

Is not the logical conclusion, then, that regardless of the merits and demerits of Islam, Islamic religiosity (especially killing as an act of piety) is not the solution for Pakistan's ills?

You cannot club everything under caste system. There are multiple distinct social issues at play here

1) Racism - Desire to retain the blood line out of perceived superiority

2) Status - Have vs. Have-Nots

3) Untouchability - hygiene vs un-hygiene

4) Caste system - Application of laws based on one's profession
