Offtopic, but when US requests Gilani/Pakistan to do something, we call it 'US lectures Pakistan'. When US requests India to do something, you guys term it 'US snubs India'.
While we are busy scoring points at each other in every possible occasion in every other forum, it is the US of A which gets away with all accolades.
I absolutely agree that there is a deliberate attempt to use language that denigrates the other nation while reporting on issues related to that nation.
I first noticed this trend as a highschooler while reading Chidanand Rajghatta in the ToI - he is a master at that sort of reporting, using weasel words and snide comments galore.
Since then other writers such as Indrani Bagchi (Diplomatic Editor ToI, unfortunately in a post of responsibility and influence) have also joined the club.
On the Pakistani side some of the writers on Rupee News qualify I suppose - no one from the three major newspapers (Dawn, The News and Daily Times) comes to mind.
And of course we won't even go into TV journalism.
