Obama says Palestine must be based in 1967 borders

I for one am sick and tired, worn out, from folks, mostly the same folks in terms of naming largely Muslim nations, who have since 1947 failed to accept and go with the creation of the nation of Palestin under UN Resolution 181, which intended to create both Israel and Palestine simultaneously.

As for Jerusalem, having written earlier in PDF on May 24 my religious views, I say read the 1947 UN Resolution which proposed, and is the ONLY thing that will work in our mortal lives, to separate Jerusalem from both Israel and Palestine, make it a UN Protectorate, and an open city for all faiths to live, work, and worship in.

It is downright stupid, dumb, and idiotic for any faith, Christain, Jewish, or Islamic to claim or expect to be in charge of Jerusalem. Let it be it's own city state as per UN Resolution 181 and stop wastsing lives and time and money fighting reality.

Is America prepared to tell Israel that enough is enough, and that compromises must be made in order to achieve permanent peace in the Middle East?

Is Israel prepared to stand alone against the whole international community and face the possible consequences?

Should the Israeli state be forced to pull back to its 1948 position, the position internationally agreed?

Should Jerusalem, once again, be declared an open city under international law and be neither a part of Israel nor of a Palestinian state?

How long can the surrounding Arab states be expected to show patience and restraint in the face of Israel’s belligerence?

Does Israel want a pre-emptive strike against itself, so it can take revenge and have the excuse to gain more land?

A raft of UN resolutions have been passed condemning Israeli acts and intentions. For the most part these have been disregarded by successive Israeli governments. Every country involved in some way in the Middle East situation says it wants peace. It is to be hoped they speak the truth. However, peace can only come from discussion, compromise and an ultimate willingness to live and let live.

Most Jewish people have migrated to other part of the world from mid-east thousand of years ago. Very few, if there are any, lived there considering the hostility towards them over thousand of years, either by Christian or Muslim.

Most of Jewish people came to mid-east from other part of Europe during the last 20 or 30 years before Israel's setup due to the encouragement of U.K.. I think you are more clear about that. The hostility towards Jewish people boiled already years before Israel's setup.
Jews always lived in Middle East. Before WW1 some 2-3% of Middle East population were Jews. Eventually Jews got 0.1% of Middle East territory.

I just observe from an outsider's point of view. Without U.K.'s intervention and U.S.'s support, do you think it is possible to set up Israel?
As I said, without UK intervention there would not be Arab states.

Those borders are indefensible, Obama may not remember that his former promised no 67 borders in written obligations, but Israel does.
No Prime Minister will give up sovereignty over the Jordan Valley, which is essential for Israel`s security, no matter what the President says.

I believe you are an Israeli, I have lot of respect for you, However i beg to differ on this issue. If Arab world is ready to agree and willing to settle the depute once & for all by this concession that its a great victory for Isreal. You will no longer have to live in shadow of terrorism and war.

That indeed makes sense.

It seems that not only Palestinian side, but also Israeli side are interested in finding excuses to settle the peace once for all.

Even on the Israeli side there is, commendably, a sizable number who are very reasonable. Unfortunately, right now, the ruling party is a coalition of center-right and outright religious fanatics. If Israeli Labor or even Kadima were in power you would see more progress. But why should the world peace be held hostage to the fanatics like these?

British men died to capture these lands. And they gave these lands to Arabs. Without Brits Arabs would be still poor serfs of the Ottomans.

Brits died to give Ottoman lands to the Arabs.

HAHAHAHA like the ottoman empire owned every single arab country, beside the english men didn't die to get arabs their country back. they filled them with propaganda, and after ww2 the colonizing time was over and arabs where left. that is why there is so many turks today that hate arabs, especially from the midle east, not countrys like morocco or algeria.

the brits fighted against turkish soldiers to, was that to free turkey to! if it wasnt for them there would be no turkey there but greece? come on now, and i thought you hated brits for what they did to you when they owned the midle east!

It is true. I said already above indicating their former premier ministers were more open to the peace deal similar to what obama suggested.
