Obama’s India visit is Pakistan’s wake-up call: analysts

Pakistan is actually a confused state. We dont know who to trust. We do not lack the courage or talent to meet the challenges. Its just that we have'nt got a sincere leader after Quaid-e-Azam to guide us. .

I have to agree with you on this one,

What pakistani public needs is Education, Awareness, Health, Jobs & a strong economy,

I might come accross as an india lover, but the fact is only country who is connected to us like a conjoined twin with a right path is India, we need to make peace fcuk K and carry on with all co-operation as much as we can, it has been shaky past but it really does not mean we can't have a properous future.

We need to stop listening to hate speeches and hate propoganda chanelled through out of all loud speakers from politicians mics to masjids.

Politically stable & secure Pakistan, good for region and Pakistani people? : YES

Militarily WEAK Pakistan, good for regional peace and stability? : NO

Without being strong at military, defence level Pakistan can never be safe and can never be good for us.

So we should not care what is dislike by India

Yes strong military is important part of a country, what we need to do is take examples and do some soul searching, No country with a strong army power in politics i,e Dictatorship, is most developed one, but on the contrary is very much opposite when the military is not strong,

There are many exg's to take but not sure if you are thinking in that direction - Military is good for fighting but not for the betterment of the country and its population.

Good Post PEACEFUL.

Pakistanis are real CONFUSED.

They think hving a Nuke makes them military strong.

" I ASK NORTH KOREA HAS NUKES " ARE THEY STRONG NATION. ???

Pakistan is a nation which has allowed itself to be dominated by indian economic might.

This massive industrial might by india gives them far more clout/respect with America and the rest of the world.

For any nation to be considered strong they need a powerful GDP and forex,

not 18 F16s or a Atom bomb and lots of middle aged leaders dressed in military uniforms..

Interesting. But here is the paradox. Till the military is weakened, the political class of Pakistan will neither be stable nor secure because the decision making mechanism includes the Military. Heck, the Military has a veto on all actions of the Govt.

Na Na Na.
Politically stable & secure Pakistan, good for India & Pakistan? --> YES
Pakistan & India equal Military power, good for India & Pakistan? --> YES

Both side should be stable. .

:rofl:here ppl are talking of talking pakistan out of a mess and ur dreaming of something which will take pakistan even deeper in the hole..

Why should Pakistan trust anyone..you are a big nation of 185 million people.

“The reason he is not visiting Pakistan is obvious. Pakistan does not belong on that list of countries and that is not India’s fault.”

What a simple and accurate statement!

Pakistan should invest more in Human and Intellectual Capital and then capitalize on that.......gradual betterment is what India did.....We introduced reforms in 1991 and now is the result....after about 20 yrs...

just a suggestion.

India will never let Pakistan to be both politically and militarily strong.

Unless Pakistan drops its aspirations to be a military power there can be no stable Pakistan. A militarily strong Pakistan will always pose a threat to India

That in something that India is not in a position to decide. Feed your 430 million people below the poverty line first before thinking of Pakistan.

The thread is simple Obama did not come to Pakistan because he will come in 2011. He did not go to Saudi Arabia or Singapore or Malaysia or Australia. He cannot visit all countries at once. We like him since he put a hold on the naval stealth engines for the Indian Navy that Bush had approved. He is a great guy.
