Only a few months ago Qader was taken to Singapore and received medical treatment there. I thought it was an Open Heart Surgery. Was it not?

If a surgical operation was at that time, why his heart condition again deteriorated? Was not it an OHS at that time? OHS is usually a bypass surgery whereby arteries from some other parts of the body are removed, the failed arteries near the heart are cut out and replaced with those arteries.

So, I am perplexed at the sudden heart attack of Obaidul Quader. Is it related to the mental shock he received due to the US sanctions against his proteges in RAB and the military top brasses?

I think he got blockage in some large arteries and as you saw in the video, the cardiac surgeon did not deem it right to unblock all of them locally, given,

a) limited technical support in Bangladesh at this time i.e. lack of ventricular assist device expertise, and,
b) the weakness of Mr. Quader's cardiovascular condition

I spoke to some doctor friends and that is what they mentioned, why he was being flown to S'pore. In that city, Mount Elizabeth Hospital is world-renowned and very well-reputed in Cardiovascular practice area.

I think Heart attack was sometime ago, but he suffered chest pains after the Sanctions were put in place. I don't think the sanctions had anything to do directly with his chest pains, but you know - high blood pressure can exacerbate a lot of things including coronary blocks.

He should have gone on a non-animal fat diet a long time ago.

Basically, heart pains are felt by a patient with heart disease when he gets mental pressure/ anxiety that causes his blood pressure to go up.

Obaidul Kader is a heart patient and he received this news of the US sanctions. Unlike our Husband-Wife Foreign Minister, Obaidul is an intelligent guy. So, he immediately understood that the soil below the BAL feet has started to move away from its feet.

This may have made him very anxious about his own bleak future and the subsequent heart pain. I hope he will go through a by-pass surgery, will fully recover and contribute to the democratization of the political system.

He is an angry man, but the country needs his presence when it reverts to democracy. You can see I am a little fond of him. It is because under his directions/ supervisions quite a few development projects were built.

His political disservice and positive contributions should be seen separately.

20 years ago or so I knew local South Florida Bangladeshi community a little better when I used to get dragged to events by a friend who since then has moved out of state. He used to talk about people with 500/600 cholesterol count.
A result of feasting on fatty beef curry like 3 times a week !
