this indian guy had a gun pulled on him for not getting out of the lane for a unmarked car (driven by a off duty chicago cop in a town outside the city! there is a good reason some call them pigs.

The stereotypical view of an American policeman here in the UK, is a fat guy with donuts and coffee in one hand, a loaded gun in the other, shades, a bad temper and a deeply paranoid individual, disturbed even.... the kind of guy that would come home crazed and start swinging some punches at his wife if he couldn't take out the primal aggression on the general public while on the job.

This is the stereotypical image, because the rozzers we have here are wonderful chaps, and all we hear about your cops is extrajudicial killings and abuse of power.

Also, it really isn't much of a retort to comparing yourself to Pakistan, look where we are and look at the US, stark, stark differences.

I don't personally, I like to laugh at the absurdity though and people's angry responses. In the war between the ignorant and the politically correct, I am a spectator, laughing at both, and encouraging them both to keep going after each other.

WHAT??? Really? There is a difference between Pakistan and the US. I can't believe you are supporting this idiot cops third class behavior who probably didn't finish school and decided to be a traffic cop as that was his ONLY career choice left to him to be "something" in life.

These types of cops leave a bad and nasty image on a professional police force. Wearing a uniform comes with discipline and respect of the institution you represent. This dumb a*ss needs to be suspended immediately. He was so abusive because he was dealing with an immigrant.

Had this been a white guy or a gal, I'd love to see a repeat because it would never happen the same way, he'd know he could be suspended over one call.

I find it funny that people like yourself think white people treat other white people differently than someone of a different skin color or culture.

I was a little surprise when you compared this cop's attitude with a place like Pakistan to be honest. There is a HUGE difference with the amount of money, time and effort we, the Americans spend on Police training here vs. anywhere in the world.
If this was Pakistan or India or Sri Lanka or anywhere else, I won't even make a comment as I expect that from their policemen / system. But this from an American policemen, with a cab filled with passengers is crazy as he could lose his job through material witnesses. He pursued this abusive behavior as he already knew this guy's an immigrant and driving a cab doesn't really gives him the financial power to take this cop to the court. In NYC, this is common with immigrant cab drivers. I grew up there and witnessed it a lot on the streets. I don't know where you live, so can't make a call.

But I agree, some people just have bad attitude, irrespective of the skin color..... nothing you could do.

And another American recorded the conversation and reassured the cab driver. Such unfortunate incidences happen but by in large, the USA is one hell of a place to be. I miss every day of my life I spent in America.

Anyone who have lived in NY know how the cab driver drive in NYC. NYPD is a very professional dept and this video doesn't do justice and most certainly doesn't show the professionalism of that dept.If there was one kind of drivers they let go its the cab drivers. I am saying this bcz i have seen NYPD let go or give a warning to cab drivers where a normal person like me get not one ticket but many more. This is a very rare case when an officer acted like a Di>k. There have been times where i would've beat the hell out of cab drivers for driving like an A.s h..e. So please don't make it seem like the whole dept i like that. I ve seen police officers acting worse to my driver until they find out who he is driving for. I still have nothing but respect for NYPD. Their job is to keep the city and citizens safe and they do one hell of a job. The most professional and organized police dept in the world. If our police showed 10 percent of the professionalism that NYPD then we would've never had so many of those crimes/terrorism in our country.

Israel always takes action against people who threaten it's citizens. Pakistan should do the same to build confidence of the nation in it's country.
