NVIDIA Unveils Killer GeForce GTX 1080 And GTX 1070 Pascal Graphics Cards That Slay Titan X

What is the source of this video? Not Nvidia. Just some random dude. We need proper verified figures. Get some credible sources please. Not some nut job who uploaded a fake video.

Well considering it was just launched we will have to be patient until somebody not deemed a nut job posts a youtube video.

.
Doom is meant to be played with the AMD's R series , only maggits play doom with an nvidia card

Thanks for the reply. Well my range is about $600-700 for the pc. I would prefer to built a custom pc.

Between 600 and 700 USD, you're looking at something like this;

CPU: Intel Core i5-4440 3.1GHz Quad-Core Processor ($174.29 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B85M-D2V Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($59.79 @ Newegg)
Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport XT 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($69.99 @ Amazon)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($57.99 @ NCIX US)
Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 760 2GB Video Card ($249.99 @ NCIX US)
Case: NZXT Source 210 (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case ($29.99 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: XFX 550W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($59.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $702.03

Or this:

CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor ($109.99 @ Amazon)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($30.98 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: MSI 970A-G43 ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($59.99 @ Microcenter)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($77.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Sandisk ReadyCache 32GB 2.5" Solid State Disk ($39.27 @ Amazon)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($54.99 @ NCIX US)
Video Card: PNY GeForce GTX 760 2GB Video Card ($236.99 @ Amazon)
Case: NZXT Source 210 (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case ($29.99 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: Corsair Builder 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($29.99 @ Newegg)
Optical Drive: LG GH24NSB0 DVD/CD Writer ($15.99 @ Microcenter)
Total: $686.17

Both are pretty solid setups.

Cooling's going to be a concern too and it's not cheap.

jesus christ dude, can you tell me what kind of temps you are getting with that loop

I'm averaging about 30 c with this setup, but I can't really compare It with purely fan cooling because I've never used such a setup:D.

Is there some kind of hardware for better ping/latency,? I know of the proxy or optimization softwares.

P.S. I am afraid this is kind of a stupid question because of speed of light and physics and all that but still..

Hardware? I don't think so. Better ping comes from better internet, usage (number of people) and the placement of the router in relation to the wireless chipset and antenna.

You'll need a better router or better placement to get a stronger ping.

influences on your ping outside your control:
- the actual route from your home to the server
- the ADSL connection to the internet provider exchange

influences on your ping within your control:
- MTU size of network packets.
- A good router with optimizations for gaming
- Firewall inside your router will give delay, set the ports for your game to NOT check thru the firewall
- wired or wireless (wired recommended)
- network card hardware (a bit, depends on brand and model)
- firewall in your windows (windows firewall etc)
- Antivirus (network scanning)
- your games network settings (rates)

All right, the basic problem is that game servers are usually in US or EU, makes for kinda laggy gaming.

Im planning to build a mid range gaming PC. Config:
i7 6700k
Sapphire R9 390 or should go with Geforce 970
Z170 pro motherboard
16 gb RAM, 2 TB HDD, 128GB SSD
Power 750 W
if its 6700k then its not going to be mid-range. save yourself some money by opting for 6500k.
As for GPU wait for 2 months and you will have way better and cheaper options out there (Nvidia pascal is out and polaris is due end of this month).

Its good news actually, I can opt for high end GPU by the present budget waiting some more. But in BD it takes time to reach the latest techs and price is way more. Then I will have to wait more then normal.

The problem is I wanna build a custom Desktop but time but my current schedule does not permit me to do it. However, as I wanna upgrade my laptop so I was kinda confused to either build a Desktop or simply get a powerful laptop and then set it up with external monitor. I am currently looking at Dell Xps 15 inch which seems to be a decent laptop capable of running Counter Strike: Global Offensive at decent FPS.

My personal computer sucks, but I'm not too much into gaming anymore. I'm too busy these days.

But my work computer kicks butt. A quad-monitor setup, heavy graphic processing capabilities using multiple GPUs. Processing and memory is enough for software simulations and graphics editing.

It's something like the above, only I don't work with drones.

We've also started using AR for 3D modeling and conceptual design.

It's a bit of a cross between Magic Leap and Hololens.

I could never understand why ATI Fire series and Nvidia Fx series cards are so expensive. any ideas?

No idea. If you would have asked me a few years ago I probably would have had an answer, but I traded in my interest in computers when I left the Navy for a sweet job as a biomedical engineer.

I know how to use the computer and its software and peripherals, that's about it now. I'm not too interested in what's inside anymore.

I used to be one of the Navy's computer wonks, and still know a lot about that field in relations to naval weapons systems and sensors, but the civilian and industrial side? Not my thing anymore.

All this time i thought you were svens girlfriend. :tsk:

XaXa, neither of the Norwegian girls here are. They're just friends of mine.

My lady's Russian. No Swede would ever stoop so low as to marry a Norge.

It's like Indians and Pakistanis marrying, or dividing by zero. Only bad can come from that union.

I never been to Norway but I tried to live in Sweden. Got fed up and ran away in less than an year. It's not a normal place to live. Summer time you can read a news paper 2o clock at night while stating outside as it's so bright.
Winter time it's minus 30 and dark and depressing.
