well i don't think French will be having any problem to supply the nuclear variants of Rafales (in good nos.) since in the past they have provided the nuclear capable mirage-2000s which forms the core of IAF for nuclear strike role (based at Gwalior).

I don't think we have, the nuclear version of the Mirage 2000s was always a twin seater, but we procured them mainly for training reasons only, with the higher number of single seaters. That doesn't meant they wasn't able to drop a nuclear bomb, but might not have specialised avionics like the French versions had.

i think ASMP-A will be under MTCR rule as it has range less than 300km.though i'm not sporting the idea to buy them.

That's one point, but also that they don't sell a weapon that could be used for nuclear strikes.

As faar as i know IaF's Anglo-french Jaguar is capable of carrying Nuclear weapon....

Nope, because it's not for exports according to international laws. If at all, we get the nuclear varient of Rafale, with some specialised avionics, but since they all look the same, nobody would notice it anyway.

I don't think there would be any problem with France selling IAF a "nuclear version" of Rafale as a while back Dassualt offered 40 Rafales on a "fast-track" basis to fill SFC's requirements for a dedicated nuclear strike platform. There is still the likelihood the Rafale will eventually fill this role for SFC once deal with IAF is signed.

As final commercial negotiations between India and France proceed on a deal for 126 Dassault Rafale fighters as part of the medium multi-role combat aircraft (MMRCA) competition, a recent event has sweetened progress. Last month on June 19, the French Air Force demonstrated a nuclear deterrent capability by test-firing the MBDA ASMP-A stand off nuclear capable cruise missile. The mission lasted five hours and involved pilots from the 113 Air Base conducting a mid-air refueling, a high-altitude cruise phase, and a dived low-altitude phase to enter enemy territory..

Well....I think the latest news out of New Delhi is that they are seriously considering canceling the deal on Rafales and going with more SU-30's.

The Russians are in dire need of $$$$ and they've offered SU-30 (Advance version) with TOT at a super cheaper price tag, that's almost half the price per jet.

Before the entire India goes nuts on me, please wait and see if this news breaks on your media within the next 48 hours. Better yet, if anyone on here is from the higher rankings within the IAF, they might be able to confirm. So, no trolls please as this isn't a troll news.

The SU-30 is currently being assembled in India with Russians providing assembly kits. Not TOT. The article is actually from yesterday or the day before. Russia is getting hurt like crazy with our sanctions, and this would be one of the ways to get more $$$$ poured into their crippling system.

Russia provide most TOT of Su-30MKI except Radar antena & Critical engine part & We import Titanium blocks & rivets & bolts due to deal clause.

Usual marketing non-sense to impress uneducated kinds. Even LCA is nuke capable, as long as it can carry 1Ton payload, which it does. Heck, i am laughing at foolish comments on this thread "will France give us this nuke missile??" LOL!! Nukes are no different from normal missiles. It requires no special technology.
