Our good indians and their media were all furious, imperious when Russian forces held joint excercises with Pak Forces.

The words used by indian media were... How dare Russia disobey india!

But then Mr. Putin put his poker face on and smiled...he did what is thought what was best for Russia.

Now again the indian deep state is issuing threats to Russia through loyal indian media to prepare the meeting with Mr. Putin... while Mr. Putin sips his wine and plays an off key piano in BeiJing...

It is anybody's guess how will Russia and Mr. Putin obey india...this time around.

Threats are considered sign of weakness and not strength.

By all intents and purposes indian state wants to get out of the stranglehold that Russia has on its military and strategic areas...but Russians are not stupid.

The only thing worth studying in the coming decade is how successful could india be in breaking the Russian chains from its assets and move freely towards the West, india's natural hanging-out place.

The best door to knock on for india must be the Whitehouse frontdoor.

India is in no position to ruffle Russian feathers just because most of its military hardware & software (Arihant consultancy) comes from it. More, Russia is co-operating with India on Hypersonic BrahMos and PAKFA beside many other items.

Without Russia's co-operation, India would not have had BrahMos, which lately has become its pride.
Which country in the world supplies nuclear submarines? Only Russia, to India only.

Russians would be mad ultimately and lose their patience with India. Russia's exports are miserable:

The ratio for Russia stands at 17% with 1.1 trillion economy.
The ratio for India is 70% with 2.3 trillion economy.

India's foreign debt is 23%. India has a huge public debt. It is owed to citizens of India.

This is the biggest difference between India and Russia. For all the flaws Indian business leaders live in India and focus on new sectors. Russian oligarchs are a bunch of blood suckers who have stashed away billions abroad.

It is the gross debt, which shows how solvent or insolvent the country is.
Matter to whom?

With the debt, comes the interest payment.
Well, India is paying 25% of its funds earmarked towards the budget, while only 75% end up towards fixing the national problems.

No wonder India spends paltry .85% towards its R&D.
