Nothing new about it, I spotted the same kit on NSG personnel about two years ago. Plenty of pics on special forces thread too.

This was outside the hotel where Obama is staying on the 25th of January. These men are a Sniper unit.

Thats a SIG 553 with a scope, its not a sniper rifle.

The NSG uses the SIG 552 as a sniper/marksmen rifle. You can see the rifles have telescopic sights and cheek rests, it is clear what their intended role is. The men with Mp-5 are the spotters and commander of the unit.

This is a sniper team.
