This is very useful machine, good for safety of commandos and swift action too

From what I've heard the NSG has 15-20 units. 4-5 are located at IGI with the NSG's main Counter-Terror task force who will board an a/c and fly out to any where in India or elsewhere. The Sherpas are fully air-mobile so can fit in a C-130J,C-17 or IL-76 and thus fly on the same a/c the operators fly out in. 1-2 are located at the NSG's HQ in Mansear. And the remaining units are deployed in the NSG hubs throughout India.


The SPG have a similar number of Sherpas for their own needs (Counter Assault).
