What's new

Now British boys can wear skirts to school - as new 'gender neutral' uniforms introduced

And they ride flying carpets in their country. :p:

Twin Turbo :D

There is nothing wrong with my ' mentality'. You're free to form your own opinions and believes. You don't have to agree with me. If you do disagree, feel free to discuss. If you don't want to, shut up. Condescending references to 'mentality' you may keep to yourself, thank you.

Hiiiim... Badass !

See?

. . .
If girls are allowed to wear pants if they want, why should boys not be allowed to wear skirts if they want.
I am thinking about it...

Nice (sarcasm) way to confuse / misguided young minds. What they are up to? They want huge force of confused minds about their gender. There are far better way to guide or medically to determine real person with gender identity issue. But allowing children to wear cross dress its really a pathetic approach.
Unless u are gay / homosexual yourself or u have some one in your immediate family u cannot understand how they feel !

thats the way they are born so its not confusing them in reality its helping them choose their identity / dresses and let others accept them from an early age which means more tolerance in a decade in the society.

While in India its worn by women, in Pakistan both men & women wear Shalwar Kameez.

Do you find confused men in your country ?

The Scots have worn Kilts for centuries, they seem pretty clear headed.

Yes men wear shalwar kameez in Pakistan and so do women, the difference is in type of material plus the way it looks, just like Scots kilt is no skirt.

You, couldn't resist and had to jump in for the cheap points, without actually reading the article, for your convenience I have taken it from the original source and listed below↓↓■

Eighty state schools are allowing boys to wear skirts and girls to wear trousers under new government-funded "gender neutral" uniform policies.

The schools have either dropped references to girls and boys in their dress codes or have rewritten their uniform policy to say that pupils as young as five can dress in the uniform in which they feel most comfortable.

It is part of a government-funded drive for schools to be more sensitive to "trans" children who are questioning their gender identity.

A poor attempt at lopsided humor !!

Yes there is a difference between Kilt and skirt, but the article is all about skirt and not Kilt

Spoken as a non-parent, I suppose? Children learn different things at different ages in different increments. That has to do with how far their brain development has progressed. So the examples given were poor examples, indicating a lack of understanding of the matter. Some books on child development in relation to parenting could be enlighting.

Let's stick to the topic i.e. rules concerning schooluniforms. We don't have schooluniforms as the norm where I live. It is therefor none of the schools business what my children wear. If, at some point, my children indicate they which to wear particular clothing and refures other clothing, or want to dye their hair or whatever, my wife and I will discuss this with them. But ultimately, I am preferbly not going to force them to do something they really don't want to and especially not when they can motivate why. That's my guideline.

B.S reply, I am a parent my self, the topic here is that school is allowing boys to girl uniform which you are defending, may be your boy will wear it, but not my boy. Every where there are rules, there are traffic rules for our safety, the rules just does not pop up, they are made with some intention in mind. This kind of relaxation of boys wearing girl uniform is just not logical.

Funny how again the focus is on 'boy' and 'skirt'. Whereas the school uniform rules of post 1 just as much apply to girls and trousers. In these kinds of answers, there is homophobia.

Let's face it. Those rules only say that when a pupil chooses not to wear his/her gender-typical schooluniform, wearing the opposite's uniform will not be punished. Now, realistically, I would expect it to happen far more frequently with girls opting for pants than with boys opting for skirts. So, I really don't know what all these men in the posts above are so insecure about.

I'm not defending anything, I am responding to silly posts.

Perhaps he should have worn a skirt occasionally. Maybe he would have been a bit more accepting of self and wouldn't have shot so many, out of self-loathing, the development of which is much more a result of 'nurture' than it is of 'nature'.
