What's new

Now, a car that gives 100 km in less than litre of fuel

Electric hybrids is a good solution but may have very good mileage/ltr of flue but may have higher running cost than projected by car companies.

There are other car companies working for air+combustion engines and expecting to provide 2X or 3X mileage/ ltr. with no additional running cost e.g. charging, change of batteries etc.

It's for sure that coming 5 yrs will be very very interesting ..

from the sites
Toyota: 3 cheapest cars are 14,000 16,000 and 19,000
VW: 3 cheapest cars are 16,000, 20,000 22,000
Nuff said.

VW Jetta-16k
VW Golf- 18k-i guess you missed that one, 2nd row on the right.

And anyhow, the 14k model from Toyota is a Yaris. I dare say without going to much into links it is not a best seller in the US as they are inherently biased towards small cars. Polo is in this price range but i guess VW decided not to offer them on the US market, most likely because of the insufficient interest in small cars.
