‘Not Our President’: Protests Spread After Donald Trump’s Election

i'm personally glad that a person whom the majority of hics and rednecks want is in power , cause history has proven when such persona are in power then the american people are most satisfied and less likely to mess with other nations. Unless of course a bunch of egyptians and saudis team up and do another thing like the 9/11

.
sit in the white house and smile

I don't know. May be invite Modi over and ask him for a special cup of tea and then plan some surgical strikes?

I hope he insults NS on his face if NS ever tries to read from a paper note in front of him.

I wouldn't worry much any stupidity would mean I am not alone but billions at risk. And what he does inside US is none of my concerns US citizens elected him and I would respect their choice.

.
. .
i'm glad there is no reverse to this process , there might be reverses and loopholes to fill in the Brexit case , but in Trump's case , well america is well hagged .

.
First, it was the 'Occupy' movement that fizzled out. Then 'Black Lives Matter' failed to matter. So people, just let these new crybabies go. Why is it so hard ?

American media isn't reporting any of this.

It is. As for why it's not broadcasted all over the world is because of ratings.
Call in the NG and put them down :coffee::usflag:

They have a right to protest. Those engaging in violence will be held accountable.

It is The American Spring! Watch the American October Revolution unfolding.

Calm yourself.

This is a response to the "elite" who haven't understood the difficulties of ordinary Americans. There was "Brexit", but just saying no more "free trade" isn't enough nor is it what we want to hear. Trade is necessary for economics. We're pissed off at the business as usual.

They are not a few. This isn't going away anytime soon.

You really don't use your mind do you?

These "thousands" are nobodies. Do math.

"Thousands" divided by ~118Million (people who voted in the election)

"Thousands" divided by the ~59Million (people who elected Trump)

"Thousands" subtract the illegals/ anchor children/ non-voters/ not of age Americans.

So suddenly democracy became farce.

Everyone who watched the count-down to declaration of President was either like "WHAT THE FU<K" or "God I hope Trump doesn't accept the results" :P

Ya, that proves nothing. Absolutely nothing. Come on, you're better than this. Voter fraud is very rare. It's just something some deluded Republicans like to talk about to suppress the vote. Especially when they lose. It really shouldn't come as a shock to many that a candidate leading the vast majority of polls wound up getting the most votes on election day. Even many of his own supporters expected her to win.

More importantly, you have to be registered to vote in order to vote. You would have to know someone's address and full name. If he/she already has voted (or if the real person shows up later), there will be a lot of problems. Secondly, I had to sign my name before I voted too. Not to mention that massive amounts of people would have to do this for only one of the candidates all across the state in order to even have an impact. Voter fraud can affect both sides.

And even if they somehow did this, it would become obvious very quickly that it was happening. Hundreds of thousands of people not being able to vote because some people supposedly already did for them would become very apparent, immediately. And of course, the people assuming the identity of others would have to only pick people that would have voted for the other candidate, otherwise they will not have actually accomplished anything (and know how they vote, by extension).

Somehow, I don't think tens or hundreds of thousands of people are researching the information others and traversing all over their states looking to commit "voter fraud" by assuming the identity of the other people, particularly given how politically divided we are based on geography (especially in this election). But again, it's essentially a non-issue. Partly because it's so difficult to do.

I just don't understand this face of left liberals.
Both sides do it when their candidate loses or looks like he is going to lose . Lets just get down to the core of it, the transition of power from a Democrat to a Republican will go relatively peacefully.

There will be no coups, both sides will work to make the transition as smooth as possible.

There will be peaceful protests from those who don't like the new president, but no uprisings against the government.
There will be calls from a minority to secede, and they will gather no real support and fade away the next time 'their' candidate wins.

There will be people screaming that Trump will declare martial law and become dictator for life, and they will have just as as much a leg to stand on as those who claimed Obama would do so.

The Republic will stay strong.

This movement consists of:
  1. Illegal aliens
  2. Black lives matter "Mike Brown was a good guy" fanatics
  3. White "I'm 1/64 native on my mother's side" Arts majors
No group of any real power and standing is backing this so it'll be defeated as soon as ICE, the police come and the Arts majors need to Starbucks for the barista careers.

Recently there's been a rise in hate and racist crimes.
A woman got publicly groped and was told its 'Trump land now',
another had a head scarf ripped off her head,
a black person was threatened to be killed
and a Mexican was abused.

Protesters target Trump buildings
in massive street rallies

(CNN)For many Americans across the country, Donald Trump's victory is an outcome they simply refuse to accept.

"Not my president," protesters chanted in rallies coast to coast.
Tens of thousands filled the streets in at least 25 US cities overnight -- with demonstrations outside Trump's properties.

And about 40 fires were set in one California city.

"I came out here to let go of a lot of fear that was sparked as soon as I saw the results," protester Nick Powers said in New York. He said he feared Trump will support stronger stop-and-frisk policies that would put many people in prison. Powers said he was also worried that Trump's victory would embolden sexist views.

Three police cars from nearby Pleasanton were damaged, officials said.
A few miles away at Berkeley High School, about 1,500 students walked out of classes Wednesday. In San Francisco, more than 1,000 students across the city walked out of the school and headed to the Civic Center

They chanted, "I will not live in fear," "Fight back, stand up" and
"¡Si se puede!" (Spanish for "Yes, it can be done").

Protesters also set on fire a piñata depicting the head of Con Man Trump

LOL! People like you were saying the same thing during "Black lives Matter" protests. THE END IS NEAR!!!!
But of course you guys got all excited over nothing...those protests lost steam and faded away...just like the dozens and dozens and dozens of other protests that happened before them. Nobody is bringing out the tanks to run over people.

This will fade away too...and you'll have to dream of another protest to get all excited about.
Nobody here is worried one ioata about these protestors.

Suppress ? This is the US, not your Iran where you are comfortable with anticipating governmental suppression.

Trump will do nothing because by Jan '17, none of these ya-hoos will be around. They will be too busy with their own lives, shopping for Christmas, ski vacations, getting drunk, partying, and assorted debaucheries. Of course, being in Iran, you would know nothing of these life enjoyments.
