'Not Afraid Of ABVP': Kargil Martyr's Daughter's Facebook Post Goes Viral

Hindutva Fringes Abuses Kargil Martyr Daughter on Social Media for Standing Against Violence

New Delhi : A social media campaign against ABVP in protest of violence in DU has gone viral with students from different campuses changing their profile pictures on Instagram and Facebook. The social media campaign, “I’m Not Afraid of ABVP“, has been initiated by Gurmehar Kaur, daughter of Kargil martyr Captain Mandeep Singh. Kaur was just two years old when her father was martyred.

Gurmehar Kaur, a 20 year old Girl from Delhi who study in Lady Sriram College in Delhi has started a campaign against ABVP which has went viral, ABVP as their traditional mob justice mentality started abusing her for standing against them and standing against Nationalism crafted by ABVP.

When a martyr gives thier life for country they thinks their family will be covered by country’s people and they will be given respect from its citizen. But here the ABVP who own the nationalist certificate has started giving anti-national tag to her.

New paper Cutting
However, recently there was a clash between Right wings supporter ABVP and All India Student association(AISA) at Delhi university Ramjas collage, to protest against ABVP’s violence, Gurmehar Kaur has started a Campaign on Social Media for the rights to dissent in a Democratic country. Changing a facebook display picture with a message “I am a student from Delhi University, I’m not araid of ABVP. I am not alone, every student in india is with me #StudentsAgainstABVP” which was a very polite way of protest. But ABVP didn’t liked it and many started abusing her on facebook and twitter.

After seeing her changed DP, many students across different universities in india started changing their DP to support her campaign and stand against ABVP goons.

She was also targeted on twitter yesterday by self styled Nationalist Journalist Manak Gupta.

If Capt Mandeep Singh was alive today he would have felt proud of her daughter, but here story is different. By looking at ABVP supporter comments on his daughter facebook wall he would have disappointed for sure.

A 20 year old girl was called Anti-National just because she stood against violence which is a crime, the self styled right wing patriots who are known to drag soldiers in every issue got exposed themselves when they attacked her with the filthiest way one can imagine the.

Here are few comments which was given on her facebook post:

Chullu Bhar Pani main Doob maro, Saheed ki beti Jihadi ban gai hai.

(Go and die you shameless, a martyred daughter has turned into jihadist)

Aaj eska baap jinda hota toh sharm se mar jata.

(if her father was alive, he would have died from shame)

Gurmahar kaur nahi Kanhaiya Kumar hai

(Gur Mehar Kaur is Kanhaiya Kumar)

Tum ekdam ****** aur ***** ho.

I wanna FU** you really.

Agar tum Sikh dharm se ho to lanat hai tumhare upar.

En Gaddaron ko sath do, aur ek din aabadi badhne ke baad yahi gaddar tumko halal karnege.

Gaddar tum apne pita he sahadat ki anadar kar rhi hu.

Sare Mullon ma khushi ki lahar daur gai hai, enki behan Gurmehrina Begum enki azadi ki ladai lad rahi hai.

Goons have taken nationalist to another label with their shitting comments.

Gurmehar Kaur tweeted that she stand by her words and said, “i’m with my each and every word and am not scared of anybody.”

The Hindutva anti-social elements wear the garb of nationalism tailored by themselves and unleash their attacks, earlier attacks were made on Shruti Setg, Neha Dhupia and Swara Bhaskar on their tweet.

Such goons makes a shield of nationalism and abuse women over social media, they don’t feel shame abusing a 20 year old girl. Their online trolls are always ready to abuse anyone who goes against their sick mentality. They have their own meaning of being Nationalist. They issue nationalist certificate too. Such things are happening in this era and its been allowed with some political support is danger for nation.

Now I see you are a worker ant... we do need workers.. but lets not forget, these are provider of basic needs...
but we also need thinkers... once society is rich enough to have nicer things... they will appreciate it much more. We need a balance.
I am not a worker ant. I am a manager. I manage a lot of these BA, B.Com kids. And let me tell you one thing. None of them is a "thinker". they do what I tell them to do.

You may consider me as arrogant but I am transparent in my opinion.

.
no.. your transparency just makes it easy for other to guess your bias.. its hardly helpful if you dont actively remove it... you will still be biased.
I dont agree with 'these are the true art, true history, true economics because its tied to my identity and I feel better if people say good sh*t about it' ... but I want them to be studied nevertheless.. its knowledge afterall.. hopefully studied without bias. :)

I have no bias. I may hate something, but that 'hate' does not cloud my judgement. Its an ancient Hindu trick :P

Its called "vairagya". It means being detached to the results of your action, detachment from your ego and hence detachment from biases.

Non Hindus do not seem to grasp that concept and hence conclude that a Hindu like Dr. Swamy who speaks his mind, does so in "hate".

Your claim about "true art, history etc" is just a strawman you create to knock down and claim victory.

No one has claimed "true art" anywhere, only that all points of view be incorporated while teaching it so that it can become truly "liberal".

Now that you know how to truly find knowledge without "bias", practice it and you will become a "hindu"..... lets just call it "ghar wapsi"

a manager is also a worker.. I did not mean in a demeaning way... if you are working 9 to 6 producing goods and services for people to consume you are just a worker for society... and nothing wrong being worker..
not all BA grads will be thinkers.some will sell credit cards.. the market takes care of these sort of things...
I was merely arguing against your idea that everybody should pick up STEM field..

in my view a strong foundation of science and maths till 12 is good enough to create a rational citizen(although I think logic and reason should be included).. and after that its upto individual.

I created no strawman you yourself said these in the above post... all other arts are not real arts it seems.
and yes, its astonishing that you happen to be hindu and Indian and also value these things above others, what a coincidence.. i would have never guessed that.. :)
I am not the one arguing against these things... sure we should study.. but lets not limit our knowledge.. our next generation will grow up knowing that 'mera bharat mahan and we are awsomest' but the moment they step out they will be in for rude shock... oh wait... its already happening.

His larger point is evrybody should pick up "Scientific temperament" which is a by product in STEM.

Its not enough to learn logic and reason, its more important to PRACTICE it so that it becomes part of your thinking.

Hence STEM.

India is not china for the next gen to step out and discover a "new world "

We are one of the most insular societies in the world.

"real art" is not equal to "true art". This is what happens when people lack scientific temperament.

One does not have to be a 'hindu' to find value in what I said, one only needs to be free of bias. Plenty of people from the west have found the value, a few arabs like al biruni found it too. Quite a few chinese too.

not really, he made point from economic angle... more like what kind of job you will get? let him reply and clarify.
the scientific temper is the point I made.. and as long as you are taught science till 10( I would prefer 12 but 10 will do, but they need to add logic and reason to curriculum, currently its just the field that forces you to think certain way).... it should be sufficient.. you can go ahead and do BA..

lol... you cherry pick things to suit your own bias... what about discoveries and knowledge from arab world, and ancient china.. or modern europe... why focus on your own only and say everything else is not true art.
sure some arabs and western people found the value outside their world, thats the whole point... not limit oneself and keep patting your own back 'look am awsome even white dude says so'.

Considering that most BA graduates sell credit cards or such jobs, you have agreed to his point.

When history teach you that Indian society got "upgraded" every time an invasion took place, then its the very anti thesis of logic. Its called "brain washing".

When sociology teaches you that "dalits" were created by evil brahmins (1-2% of population, that too unarmed) to ensure their rule, its not "logic", its brainwashing.

All those students who learnt maths and basic logic in school, have just learnt to become zombies by brainwashing. That is what "BA" is.

Why NOT focus on our-self first before learning about others ? :cheesy: .... that is the MOST LOGICAL way forward.

Don't you learn your own mother tongue first before learning a second language ?

Why would you learn about western economic model before learning INDIAN economic models from our past ?
Why on earth should one learn out Indian society based on what a NON INDIAN has written ? :cheesy:

Its ironic you then go on to say not to take pride in the "white man's pat"

.
Its the same girl
"Pakistan didn't kill my father, war did". RIP Logic. Who started war, and should India not defend when attacked?

You really need to open you mind and then use your brain. Wars happen for reasons. Here Kargil happened for one reason and one reason only. Kashmir. This mess was deliberately left by the British because they knew we on the subcontinent would fight over this for generations and they would sell us both weapons to kill each other.
This young lady understands war is wrong. Dialogue is the way forward. Pakistan and Pakistanis didn't kill her father. Politicians did. Soldiers don't hate each other. They do their duty and people sitting at home have bragging rights but it's only the poor soldier that die. So please try to reason with your brain as opposed to typing with your emotion

I am not aware of any such history book.. you might be lying again.. or grossly exaggerating something said that can remotely mean these things.
as to Indian economic model, sure if there is unbiased published information about that, it should be part of curriculum...
the history books I know that are taught in India are mostly written by Indians.. not sure which white man your are talking about.. as to other fields let there be research on Indian economic model or whatever and I have nothing against it to be added to curriculum.

currently most people doing such research are revisionist liers...(and even get into fantasy territory) its like relying on zakir naik to know whats written in quran.. I would argue against it.

.
What are the "duties" of a terrorist ? :coffee:

When you are a silly question there is no point answering. You should ask RAW that and every Kashmir in India will tell you who the real terrorists are.
Now please get back to what I wrote instead of trying and miserably failing to derail

Not allowing free speech is terrorism

Rather than rely on me "lying" or being truthful, discover the truth for yourself by self enquiry (the hindu way :P )

Artha shastra is one example o Indian economic model. How does it matter if its 'biased" or "unbiased" ? Were you not claiming that BOTH versions have to be taught ? (Logic fail)

Who wrote "Aryan invasion theory" ? Who invented "dravidian" ? This is what "history" teaches the BA grads.

Kargil was never your political adventure. Our politicians were shaking hands just before Kargil happened and Kashmir dispute is not a justification to attack. On one hand you are talking of peace and on contrary you are saying there can not be peace because of the dispute.
