Tactical restraint not wanting to expose their ABM to be tracked by China/Russia etc because they had prior intel on a non threatening test launch and would rather track the enemy projectile for their own intel gathering ?

Was this a legal launch, with NOTAMs issued and prior coordination with others in the region ?

What does international law say about shooting down a suspect enemy projectile in international airspace, or in their own airspace.. how high does national airspace extend ?

N.Korea is small and poor, but it does have the power to wipe Japan off the face of the earth.

The world becomes a much safer place after several not so powerful countries acquired nuclear weapons. Cause for the weaker nuclear countries the worst case scenario is the choice to die together with the stronger ones and for the stronger ones dying together definitely will never be a choice to make.

Japanese missile defence falls under the absolute responsibility of the United States. The U.S. guarantees protection to Japanese airspace and land from missile threats.

Japanese by itself have zero missile technology and defence, but it is this way because U.S. does not allow it to posses such tech.

just a missile from a nuclear armed enemy nation flying over their airspace... if they'd shot it down, would that be considered in self defence or instigating a shooting war ?
