Pathans, Sindhis and Baloch were not in the powerful positions, most of them.

Bhutto was Sindhi. Zardari is Baloch. Nawaz is Kashmiri. Our current PM is a Niazi, Punjabi Pukhtoon.

Is it true what another poster has written about Kazi Nazrul Islam being an idol worshipper, having a Hindu wife, and being a fan of Tagore?

I know one of his wife was Hindu and he was after all a Bangla poet but his writing style was totally different from Tagore.

He spend time in Punjab while he was in British Army and he learned Farsi and Urdu from a Punjabi scholar.

Some of his writing seems to be inspired from Persian poet Hafiz.

As far as I know, President Ayub Khan was a Hazarawala, neither Pathan nor Punjabi. I think, at the present time many of them may also be living in Punjab but by demographic classification, he was a Hazara. However, many different ethnicities live throughout Pakistan who may not intermarry.

Tagore is undoubtedly the greatest poet/philosopher/writer from Asia. Of course he has huge number of fans in Bangladesh. We r greatful to him and nazrul for their amazing creations.

1971 happened due to the amount of looting that West Pakistan regime had been doing in East Pakistan.
