Non-Pakistanis, what Pakistani food do you want to try?

han par bahi mein ny tu chapli kaba ka pocha tha naa,
Karahi was good, seekh kaaba was ok too! But we were looking for chapli kabab as during last two three visits i feel that Sufi is not the same anymore :)
F-11 Markaz Naan Kabab. Sufi has gone down a notch or two. Been eating his kababs since I was a child. Sufi's brother Haji also had a place nearby in F-10 though I don't know if it is there anymore. Oh & best chappal kababs in the world, hands down any dingy hotel in Qalandarabad.

Anyone likes Mutton/Beef Kofta?

I am not much of a fan of koftas. But shamis I like.

As regards the topic of this thread, I would like to try out nihari, chappli kabab and sajji.

But I must mention that though I like meat I am a reluctant meat eater. Ethical reasons. I wish someone in India introduces lab meat.

A good suggestion for people looking to try Pakistani food is sajji with rice, i love dogar sajji in lahore.

What's the difference between both ( sajji and dogar sajji ) ?

And sajji has a nice yellow masala tinge.

That's just the name of the place where i get my sajji from dogar is the guy's name who owns the business, he named it after himself.

I tasted Biryani, it was nothing like the rice that I am used to. It's like it's main ingredient is spices, not rice lol

Mandi means that arab dish made with rice? Its everywhere in india...anyway thts not native to pak...all pakistani foods are indian foods..meat maybe added..thtsal
that is 100% false.
What we think of as "North Indian Food" is actually Persian/Arab/central Asian food which came through Pakistan and finally to India.
It was sped up by the Mughals who helped their adoption.
That is not to say that the dishes were not localized, as they were, but their origins were in the west.

Even you admit this in "arab dish made with rice"

Indigenous Indians food are things like ant chutney and other foods that the aboriginals in India eat.

Have made a note of this F-11 markaz Nan Kabab! Will try it on next visit for sure. Sufi i agree have gone a bit down, i too have been eating his kababs since i was a kid! It was almost a weekly ritual to go to Islamabad and get this while returning. Miss those days. As i said, ever since i moved to this new city i have to wait for months to get a chapli kabab. There is no one making them in Faisalabad or no good one even in Lahore :(

Qalandarabad, Mansehra, Charsadah, Takht Bai!!! All awesome!

I've tried a lot of Chapli Kababs, Frontier Ghost, Balti murgh, Pakistani-style Nihari. I have my favorite Pakistani restaurants in different cities including London, Berlin, Sydney, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, etc. Even Delhi has a few authentic Pakistani restaurants with chefs coming from Pakistan, one example is "Raas". Some others are called "Lahori Food" etc. but they are fake.

I'm not a big fan of vegetarian stuff so Pakistani, bring it on anyday. Except I don't like that many spices, so I usually keep the heat mild.

Is this by any chance connected to the real Charsi Tikka from Peshawar?

Ever heard of Chapshuro, rosh, khada kebab, sajji, takatuk, bata tika, sohbat/painda, bolani, isht pusht and so on?

You are only familiar with panjabi aikh food at most.. and somehow think thats what 210 million Pakistanis eat..

It's not his fault. He only believes what Modi tells him. Of course it doesn't occur to him that when even a tiny region of India like Goa or Sikkim can have its own unique distinct cuisines, how can a country of 210 million people with different regions not have their own cuisines

Baba Tikka by far serves the best grilled fish here in Faisalabad. Its old restaurant is in D Ground. If your friend decides to get married again and you visit him feel free to contact me. Will be glad to take you to this place. :)
