What's new

Non-Pakistanis, what Pakistani food do you want to try?

. . .
Chapli Kebab. It looks amazing. I wish they would make it out of lamb or chicken, but i believe it is only beef.

Restaurants make it with beef as it's historically been made but nowadays there are other options too.

Easily available in every corner shop in Pakistan. I don't know whether they export or not.

Edit:

Yeah, they do serve in some other countries.

Quite different. It's popular in KPK. Chapli kabab is more like a minced meat patty with very few spices. Shami kabab is definitely better. Chappli kabab is not reshaydar like shami kabab.
Just because you like shamsi kebab more doesn't mean its better then chapli Kebab. To each his own preference.

Besides you can't compare the 2.
That is meat patty. While shami is cooked lentils with chicken parry that is already cooked.

Not really. Only palak paneer. We're meat lovers.
I live in lahore and I have not seen palak paneer ever in my life. Hotels sale palak ghost, palak chicken or plak with biryani. But never palak paneer.
It is Indian dish atleast not found in kpk balochistan and punjab. Don't know about sindh.

just curious, Do you paneer in pakistan
In villages people make paneer.
But it is not that famous.
People who like to eat cheese prefer imported variants. And our local food barely use any cheese unless modern versions.
I have never seen anyone in my city eating palak paneer or anything from paneer. But they make it in villages when they have cows and abundance of milk and eat it.

You can make it out of other meat. I tend to have it with lamb, it's delicious. Chicken is okay too, but not as tasty.

Yes we do. I like to order it with my palak gosht.

In a reverse of this thread, i want to try oxtail, but have never been brave enough to try. Also have been meaning to try South Indian food and Bangladeshi food. I don't live in a big city so food variety is limited. Oh and proper tacos.
