Nokia to Hold a Global (Handset) Launch Event in Pakistan

Nokia has finally selected Pakistan for a global launch event for two of its handsets, most likely to be feature phones with mid-range specs.

More details about the phones are embargoed but we can tell you that these two phones will have internet rich features specifically aimed for emerging markets like Pakistan.

Event is scheduled for May 15th, 2012 in Karachi.

Nokia has said that they chose Pakistan for the global launch of its upcoming devices to demonstrate the importance of Pakistani market for Nokia.

An invite sent to media men and bloggers read:


“Nokia envisions is to connect the next billion people and the first ever announcement from Pakistan of the upcoming devices have been planned specifically with this goal in mind.

i was about to say that nokia should handover its business to me as they are simply lacking innovation of technology these days but hey nokia you impressed me once again after this news

no innovation i expect but you targeted the right market for your products and if you can launch good handset i might consider converting my mobile religion from android to symbian/windows once again haha

I don't know why people still like Nokia. It has only quality but technology is outdated.
Today is the world of Android Technology with multitasking and Nokia recently launched asha with outdated 40 series.
Even the recent Nokia sets have no power of android system.
HTC and New Samsung have the android technology. And thanks for Higher rank Google and Android for partner with HTC and Samsung mobiles.
Even the iPhone is struggling against the latest android mobiles.

Shame to Nokia for being introducing outdated technology again and again

Frankly speaking i was the first one from my friends to use an android phone back in the day . Days went by and all these khatik people also started purchasing android phone . Then i decided to switch to either blackberry or nokia .

Windows phone 7 is much better and has a better UI than Android
