Noah's Ark found on Turkish mountain?


HONG KONG: A group of Chinese and Turkish evangelical explorers said they believe they may have found Noah's Ark — four thousand metres up a mountain in Turkey.

The team say they recovered wooden specimens from a structure on Mount Ararat in eastern Turkey that carbon dating proved was 4,800 years old, around the same time the ark is said to have been afloat.

"It's not 100% that it is Noah's Ark but we think it is 99.9% that this is it," Yeung Wing-cheung, a Hong Kong documentary filmmaker and member of the 15-strong team from Noah's Ark Ministries International said.

The structure had several compartments, some with wooden beams, which were believed to house animals, he said. The group of archaeologists ruled out an established human settlement on the grounds that one had never been found above 3,500 metres in the vicinity.

i read it in a book as well somewhere in the early 90s and it stated that noahs ark is in that region but the mountain falls on the border hence its hard to get permission

I don't believe this cause Prophet Nuh A.S. came in this world thousands or even millions of years ago and not only 4800 years ago even Prophet Ibrahim A.S came around 4000 years ago and you can imagine the number of Prophets in between Prophet Noah and Prophet Abraham

I like to think from both sides, first religion and then analyze it in the light of Science, History etc.

The problem is i am not rejecting it is 4800 years old ship. Be it............ but i am rejecting to the claim that its Prophet Noah's ship.

It could be made by somebody else during those days they simply cannot prove it to be Prophet Noah's ark

By finding such an old ship does not mean it will become Noah's ark.......... A sane person would require more proofs before believing it blindly

You are absolutely right. One needs to obtain evidences before confirming that this is indeed Noah's Ark. But I believe it's also wrong to out rightly deny the possibility just because it does not tally with what was mentioned in religious accounts. Only time and further scientific examinations will tell the real story.

But these things cannot be proved from the historical facts anymore

Only the religious "tally" can enlighten you about Noah - nothing else
