But today's media does not understand the true meaning of secularism. If GOI interfere it would be considered as poking in minorities affairs. Anyways, these kinds of moral policing is not understandable in these institutes which are established with the sole purpose of equality to all and help in eradicating the evils of society like gender biasing etc. If AMU VC does not come up with clarification and does not take back his comments and apologize, then he should be sacked with immediate effect. More over, if the University takes a stand and side with VC, then University status should be snatched from AMU. Time to do radical change in the education system where in there should be no minority and majority universities.Isn't India a secular country, where state can force it's writ on anyone, regardless of religion? so why is this kind of non-sense being tolerated?
No. We are not becoming more intolerant. We are an open country. Till now such issues were hushed up. Now they are coming out in the open. When girls are molested or raped they are no longer staying shut, but coming out and registering complaints in the police station.Lets see, we are becoming an intolerant society. A simple respect to other religions become so hard for us.. Christian evangelical societies openly abusing Hinduism, Muslims throwing stones at holy possessions by Hindus and Christian nuns were raped by members of Hindu organisations. I will tell you a story which I read from the local new paper.. A hindu guy married a muslim woman.. Obviously gals community up in arms against it.. They had to run away.. Only the guys family supported it.. Hindu organisations said they will support this marriage and them if girl converted to Hinduism.. Guys family opposed it because they were both teachers and respect other religions too.. So they were also after this guy and his family. Daily stones were thrown to his house by both parties.. He is now planning to leave the place.. Why cant any one talk against these kind of actions.. Every other organisations is busy morale policing public about how to sit and stand but they do not care about people who are hungry and lack shelters.. Government, instead of taking action against these watch silently because, they are afraid of vote banks. I can show you plenty of examples like this..

India is a Hindu country. There is no further benefit really. The diversity is celebrated actually.Just tell me what is the benefiting of making India a Hindu rashtra?
True and removed it is.Religion should be removed from politics. And a government should not be held hostage by any religion.
I have never been a secular. But I respect the Constitution. You need to stay calm - at all times.Fcuk Secularism, Tired of that sh*t.
Not desirable. For funding for Sanskrit - yes, but declaring Sanskrit as national language will make us a joke. Agree with the rest.Implement Sanskrit as national language.
they don't have to do something that dramatic .. maybe they can just read a book in front of the library. So when are they having a kiss of love in AMU?
Not unless we are attacked.
And as far as the "patriotism" of christian churches is concerned , it was unraveled in the Kondankulam Protests controversy .
That's not what was told in the Sunday sermonNo. We are not becoming more intolerant. We are an open country. Till now such issues were hushed up. Now they are coming out in the open. India is a huge country. If such an incident as you say has happened it is unfortunate, but for every bad stuff, I can tell you 2 good stories as well. The experiences are diverse. This is a phase called social adjustment. This is normal when society undergoes massive changes in a short period of time.
If you see the larger picture - From economy to social indicators, India is looking up. Lots of young people are aware about things happening around them. For good or for worse they are participating in events all over the country - cleaning/protesting etc - all within the ambit of law(mostly). So now, the country is NOT going to dogs at all. The situation is rapidly improving in fact.
Yes the old "All christians arent like that defence" where have I seen it beforeYou have any idea how many Christian denominations here in India? There are plenty of them working as Independent denominations who have head quarters here in India.. You show Kondankulam protest is the yard stick of Indian churches patriotism but tactfully avoid that it was one of the church that was the mission control of ISRO when it first started in Thumpa.. So dont start a dick measuring contest about patriotism.. I can say that there are plenty of Hindus too who sold national secrets to enemy nations for money..
I will give you a single basic statement. You can't get it clearer than this from me.That's not what was told in the Sunday sermon
Implement Sanskrit as national language.
What dalits are you speaking of?I am a shudra myself and the process of caste erosion will be complete in a decade.
