Imran Khan in Lodhran on December 24, 2015.
Expressing remorse on the death of the child who was killed due to VIP protocol in Karachi, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has announced he will make sure traffic is not halted for any VIP in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
“If a person is scared of the threats; [he or she] should sit at home, there is no need to come out,” he said, while addressing a gathering in Lodhran on Thursday
A 10-month-old girl died on Wednesday when her family was unable to enter Civil hospital due to security measures in place for the arrival of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and other leaders.
Following the victory of party leader Jahangir Tareen in the NA-154 Lodhran by-elections, Imran asked his workers not to “give up the fight against status quo”.
“There will be ups and downs in this fight against status quo but never give up,” he said.
“You have a huge responsibility on your shoulders; I will not give up, I also ask you not to.”
