Karachi University failed to make it to 1000 universities: Report by British institution QS - Photo: University of Karachi Times
No new Pakistani university is included in the world's top 374 universities in the new global ranking for 2020.

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) of the United States is ranked first, Stanford University is second, Harvard University is third and Oxford University is fourth in the global ranking of universities released by leading British institution QS .

India's 3, Malaysia's 2 and Saudi Arabia's universities are among the 200 best universities in the list.

Two Pakistani universities are among the top 100 universities in Asia

The world ranking does not include any Pakistani university in the world's 374 universities but 375th of the Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences (PIEAS) in Islamabad and 400 of the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST). Number one.

Karachi's largest university in the 1000 did not even make it to the university.

On the other hand , Singapore University ranked first in the Asian rankings , with NIST being ranked 83rd in Pakistani universities, 110th in Lahore University of Management and Sciences (LMS) and 111th in Quaid-e-Azam University.

Punjab University was 195th, Aga Khan University 201 and Karachi University 239th.

We were not even in 500 some years back, but now we are improving slowly but Geo is a propaganda channel

Soon we'll have university teaching grave worshiping and piri muridi, hopefully no university of the world would be offering degrees in said discipline, so that Uni of Bani-Gala will automatically be ranked #1.

 :omghaha:
Let me suggest a few possible names: Darbar Studies & Peerology.

Judging from everything else that is wrong with this country it would be foolish to believe that the Pakistani education would have been any better. The universities are more concerned about fee's than students and their future. The old babba's who are hired to run them, do nothing but to make sure that no one gets to think outside the box and follow their decades old teaching methods, which very much includes reserving high or full marks for aliens only. Then there is also this matter of nepotism which can place even the most thick of the lot above the truly deserving ones.

I take it you can think outside of the box?. Please, share with us what needs to be done..

At one time, South Asia was actually ahead in education as it had established universities like Takshashila, Nalanda, Vikramshila, Vallabhi about 2000 years ago. But now, we all have fallen. Only 3 Indian universities from India as well in top 200. Education continues to be dominated by the West.

A classic example of spinning a piece of positive news into negative by choosing selective terminologies to mislead masses. The rankings released are of 500 universities across the globe in which 9 Universities of Pakistan are now included plus some had shown upward movement through the rankings but GEO had to select the number 374. This goes to show how malignant and dishonest they are.

Aj tuje kia hwa hai..
Why so angry against pti???

Lol stopping count at an arbitrary number like 374.... Only patwari GEO NEWs can fall to this level :partay:
