Jakarta - Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan (KKP) berhasil menangkap 6 kapal perikanan asing (KIA). Tiga kapal asal Vietnam dan 3 kapal asal Filipina itu ditangkap di 2 lokasi perairan yang berbeda karena melakukan aktivitas ilegal.

Plt Direktur Jenderal Pengawasan Sumber Daya Kelautan dan Perikanan (PSDKP) Agus Suherman mengungkapkan, penangkapan 3 kapal Vietnam dilakukan oleh Kapal Pengawas Perikanan (KP) Orca 01 dengan Nakhoda Capt Priyo Kurniawan, KP. Orca 03 dengan Nakhoda Capt M Ma'ruf, dan KP Hiu 11 dengan Nakhoda Capt Slamet di Wilayah Pengelolaan Perikanan Republik Indonesia (WPP-RI) 711 Laut Natuna Utara pada Sabtu (27/7).

"Ketiga kapal yang ditangkap atas nama KM BD 96687 TS (ABK 12 orang), KM BD 97041 TS (ABK 13 orang) merupakan kapal berjenis purse seine, sementara 1 (satu) kala lainnya KM BL 93579 TS (ABK 11 orang) merupakan jenis kapal pengangkut," tutur Agus Suherman dalam keterangannya, Minggu (28/7/2019).

"Ketiganya ditangkap karena melakukan kegiatan penangkapan ikan di WPP RI tanpa izin dari Pemerintah Indonesia yang melanggar ketentuan undang-undang perikanan," tambah Agus.

Ketiga kapal dan 36 ABK berkewarganegaraan Vietnam yang berhasil diamankan selanjutnya dikawal menuju ke Pangkalan PSDKP Batam untuk proses penyidikan oleh Penyidik Pegawai Negeri Sipil (PPNS) Perikanan.

Penangkapan kapal asal Vietnam dan Filipina tersebut menambah jumlah yang telah berhasil ditangkap oleh KKP karena melakukan kegiatan ilegal di WPP RI. Setidaknya, selama 2019 dari Januari hingga akhir Juli 2019, KKP telah berhasil menangkap 43 KIA.

"Sejumlah KIA yang telah berhasil ditangkap selama 2019, yaitu 18 Malaysia, 18 Vietnam, 6 asal Filipina, dan 1 Panama," ungkap Agus.

According to VN new law of sea, All ID warships,guardships enterring VN-ID disputed zone to arrest VN boats will be chased and hit immediatelly...and we havent got any report that ID warship arrested VN boats inside the disputed zone after the latest incident in April.
