Our soldiers never beat him either. And our civilians just roughed him up a little, to be expected given the attempt a day before by India to bomb civilians in a school. If you think war is all cupcakes and pleasantries, don't leave the kitchen.

I think he was in shock after he was captured. Replaying the events that led him to his interrogation, he thought HE was couldn’t tell the difference between the Pakistanis that captured him and Indians, or perhaps he was appealing to his hosts for mercy by saying the people’s of both nations were the same. The head and body movements and facial expression during the tea statement showed how relaxed he was at that point. (Pakistani interrogation team did a good job breaking this guy’s discipline)

Finally, he indulged his need to justify his actions, talking of Kashmir, and the futility of fighting. This was very telling.

Indeed, a lot was learned about the IAF and its inner psychological workings (morale, situational awareness, etc.) from this incident.

30 years bogged down in Kashmir has really done a number on the Indian military and national psyche.

The integrity of Indians are exemplify by their poster on Bharat Rak Shiite. The India media and the bragging attitude of Indians I know. Few are humble but many are prideful. Indians know no shame. I’m a Taiwanese American.

If Indians want to counter China, the best bet is to split up India into small pieces. As India need to revert to the political entity before British arrival to be free from the yoke of British imperialism.
