What's new

No plans to fly Kaveri engine on Tejas : GTRE

No one will help India with producing an engine.

Best to use whatever was learned from Kaveri to develop a new engine.

And DRDO generally has multiple projects running, but that doesn't mean that something useful comes out of it right? The fact is, we had a huge failure and where should the know how come from suddenly, that should give more hope on the next engine project? Realistically we can only hope that they learn from their mistakes and develop the next engine project in a better way, but nothing useful will come out in in the next 10 years, without external help.

Failures are the Stepping stones to success.

That is how it works. First you try, then you Fail, then you try again, then you fail, then you try again .....and finally you succeed.

If we continue doing research into Turbine technology then India is very well on its way to build an engine in the next 10-15 years without any help. Might not be the best in the world, but it will be something we can use.
