No Pak ban on Hafiz Saeed from giving hate speeches

99.99% of what Indians speak about Pakistan IS hate speech. We're enemy nations - don't expect hugs and kisses.

. .
As if India does not have hate mongers and Bal thackrays doing the same.

jana.. the comparision is absurd and you as a reporter should know it. Bal thackery and other fundementlist pigs of hindu community who resort to hate speech against pakistan can invoke littlei ntrest in india. They dont go beyond the borders of their locality let alone india. However mr.saeed and the speechs that he makes are to people who are open to brain washing and can be easily taken into armed conflict. Your society is exposed to the Gun and violent culture. And any kinda of hate speech like mr.saeeds are harmful for india but its more harmful for pakistan. The culture has to change.. you dont need to change ur stand against india.. but if you dont change this gun culture.. it will always remain an unstable society..!!!

Pakistan's golden days in terms of progress and prosperity was with Mush and its OK to dislike his ways as the cancer in Pakistan is disinformation and bias.

It was he who realized that a proxy war will give no gains and he had started talking and was getting close to fixing the core issues b/w India and Pakistan. However, that is not acceptable and as you say he was criticized.

Don't distort my comments please - I was very clear in pointing out that Musharraf is criticized for his illegal and arbitrary policies of detentions and extraditions.

Well if you ask civilians to take guns.. mark my words that society is going to be doomed. make sure atleast as a policy the civlity is remaining.. else today it will india, tomarrow it will be against your government and system..!!! the gun can be pointed at any one if it is given to the hands of people who should not handle it.

Comeon Agno,

U live in west and you must be knowing from the bottom of ur heart that this things are not right..
HS was let go by ur authorities.

This type of people are ruining ur society and ultimately the trouble comes crossing border. On the street of Lahore, he is saying all this.
U tell me is it justified??

Now if the same CEO does an incremental job you reward him millions. So why not held him responsible for tarnishing the company's image?
The CEO is 'rewarded millions' by his company/shareholders, not the government. For the government to hold a CEO 'responsible', you have to prove the CEO violated some law or the other.
look at this..There are children in this rally. And he is saying all this?
Wt sanctions are u talking abt?? So shall we proclaim him as saint and justify his speeches.
The sanctions imposed by the UNSC on him - they do not require Pakistan to either restrict his movements on speech. And I think Pakistani members have referred to plenty of hate speech by Indians already, so on that count the message for Indians is 'pehlay apnay giraiban may jhankon'.

All you have to do to realize the degree to which Indians have been brainwashed with hate and prejudice towards Pakistanis is go to the comments section of Pakistan related articles by the Times of India, Hindustan Times etc. - all mainstream Indian news outlets - and read the comments full of prejudice and hatred by Indians.

I live in the West, which is why I am pointing out that the rule of law must be paramount, and under the law the UNSC resolutions require Pakistan to place no restrictions on his movement and speech, and the courts have not found any evidence to implicate HS in terrorism.

Agno.. so at the end of the day..!! What in your opinion should be the pakistan policy?? allow hate speechs because india too have them..?? or bring in a policy to rein in hate speechs which have potential to ignite terrorist flames? i am not asking as an indian but as an citizen of the free world..!!!

It is waste of time trying to argue with Pakistani's not to support terrorist. Even the most liberal and sensible ones actually supporting terrorist actions against India, forget about others. IMO if you have a dispute does not mean that you resort to terror tactics, look at how they are defending Hafeez. Ideally someone who are been a head or organization labeled as terror organization by UN, you will try to contain him even if you disagree, the reason is terrorism is not a simple crime, even if you have a doubt of one being a terrorist you would like to contain him. I feel Pakistan is getting what they have cultivated, I do not think they have learned it yet. Stop having the same argument over and over, people are not going to change.

Any law against 'hate speech' needs to be very carefully debated and vetted, so that it is not used by politicians and certain interest groups to crack down on free speech by those they oppose.

I am in favor of a discussion to outline what would constitute hate speech and analyzing pros and cons of it.

Don't slander the other members.

No one has defended terrorism - what has been pointed out are the limits of the UNSC resolutions and the fact that HS has not been found guilty of breaking any laws.
