No-Man's Land: Myanmar building concrete structure

They used to do fatwa that democracy is Haram and female leadership is Haram and later they have done the two Haram things, and still doing Lol . I call it Munafiq nature , not Islamic !

Agree that that would be double standard.

What if I told you Jamaat is being used by the BJP-led Govt. in India to leverage their influence in Bangladesh against Hasina.

Unlikely. Have any clue to believe that?

.
Bhai common people can only imagine what they have been fed through the local and foreign media.
Exactly , and in some cases our peoples are so silly that they even jump to conclusion by just reading the headline , they do not bother to read the body . And our papers are also just BS , have you read the news related to Allama shafi ? Now it is talk of the country . Allama shafi actually said against co education , but did not ask to stop education of women , but almost all papers just distorted it . look the news of prothom alo .

মেয়েদের স্কুল-কলেজে দেবেন না: আহমদ শফী . But he did not say that actually . he is a hujur of madrasa , he speaks for madrasa its natural , so he basically said that peoples should send their kids ( female ) in madrasa for Islamic education . And it's not new for them . But our papers are run by propaganda machine , and they distorted his words and made such news . But in reality Shafi did not say that , but shafi said that he does not suggest co education .
And such lies spread by our media is not uncommon , and our peoples love to believe our news papers . Just prothom alo type papers are for secular guys , and nayadiganta types are for anti Al guys . So sad .

That's why local leaders are afraid of journalists so much. The journalists know everything - and sometimes get bold about blackmailing leaders too.
Indeed even I heard that journalists used to take bribe even from Police , as if police will not give them bribe , they will write foul news about them . I am not sure though , but I will not be surprised if it is true as we all know the nature of our yellow journalists :) .

How many journalists have gone missing locally in the last couple of years? How many do we even know about -when the govt. knows how to control the media?

Nah bro honestly I have less Idea about how and when govt control the media .
But yes in this current Al regime ( 2014-2018) I saw that media is actually silent against govt , and also most of them were silent when anti FF quota movement starts . It really puzzled me that these news papers ( specially prothom alo ) used to mock AL govt day and night when they were just established in 1998 !
I am in dark in such cases . can you give some clue ?

You raise some excellent points. Let me regroup my thoughts and reply at some point.

I am glad to see the tender, protective interest that @Nilgiri and @padamchen have begun taking in Bangladesh. Better inside the tent pissing out than outside the tent pissing in, I guess.

@jbgt90

Meanwhile a senile or infantile (can't figure out which childhood the creature inhabits) couple have been firing red herrings at each other.

What a thread!

Yes, how this grand production "Dances with the Bongs" proceeds to enter its climatic crescendo should be interesting...but I feel it would just need a similarly great soundtrack to the one John Barry composed (for that most excellent movie I am referencing) and its all set.

You see when I came to observe this tribe...of course the differences stood out and the jockeying/banter was not far behind...but I got used to (and learned to accept) their foibles and they for mine. That is how over time I can see who in the tribe are truly great ppl (past our fighting), and who are their true weaknesses....and I feel they themselves have a better understanding of that now.

I will miss this lot when I am no longer here (as much or at all) for sure... that is what many do not quite grasp...they think only mere bitterness and fighting occurred. They do not get or understand at all the deepness of what happened past that.

It's all in our mind and if someone is unhappy then he/she always looking for someone to blame so he/she can avoid introspect which hurts the foundation of person itself.

@Nilgiri i am happy for you to remove discontent from your heart as only thing i didn't like from your internet character was that.

"The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.”

It never got to the point I need to forgive anyone here buddy....neither do they have to forgive me I feel. No regrets, people are who they are on an online forum....and things wax and wane like the phases of the moon.

Only real things "out there" need forgiving by the people that do those real things.

I am not here to please everyone either. You get the total package with me (how it falls upon you is really up to you in the end)...I'm not going to change who I am to suit others.

@Joe Shearer is one that knows I hail from a community that are not known to have vast wells of patience (in our language we call the extreme of such as "Durvasar kovum" - as you can imagine why)....neither is my gotra a sage known for his cool nature, tolerance or patience (quite the opposite - he is well known to start a massive war against another elder Sage to him).

In my case I especially do not tolerate ignorance (especially when feigned) well at all...knowledge (and its close brothers logic and debate) is a very dear thing to me..... to me they are the only ways to Moksha/Wisdom for the human soul (whether it recognizes that or not in the individual case)...so I will not stand for that to be abused....and it is surefire way to anger me...and sustain my wrath. I give everyone plenty of chances to step away though, before I let them have it ....just like Sri Krishna gave shishupala 100 chances before dealing with him.

So I have no regrets really....just I feel there is better stuff to do with the people I have found to be worthy here (that I admire as friends and acquaintances now)....the fight with the (proven beyond doubt) stupid ones is more or less finished...and I would be a hypocrite to keep focusing on them only esp after stomping on them so, and ignoring/tolerating the vast pool of (way more) stupid ones outside this chamber....just because it was lot easier to get "into it" with the ones here. :enjoy:

Do you remember your description of @bluesky? That was almost a caricature of what others think to be the quintessential east Bengali, the Bangal. Those who did not conform to it on this forum were typically the unreconstructed, unreconciled and embittered Razakars in spirit; they were seeking different paradigms.

LOL.....You inflammable Iyers.

Fortunately, my alliance was with a Vadagalai from an imperturbable and dispassionate sect, and I got the latitude needed to learn up on what to do and what not to do, only to have my east Bengali self promptly go and use to destroy his own position with his impulsive ways, his lack of 'gambhiryu', his inability to understand the philosophical depths heights of 'madi', his inability to use his forearm to deal properly with a runny liquid on a banana leaf.......I could go on.

I find myself in sympathy with your knowledge+logic+debate trilogy position; that is almost exactly my own, and that is what I keep trying to explain to people. However, it was amusing to find that stereotypical positions happen to be reversed; you will remember the iron patience of Karna, that betrayed him to the very suspicious Parasurama. Unlike you, I am unable to forgive Shishupala his 100 offences. Old age has its handicaps and its debilitating effect; you, like @padamchen and @jbgt90, enjoy the advantage of age over me, being all closer to my daughter's age than mine.

RAW will use any sympathetic party or credible apparatus in Bangladesh to accomplish their goals. There is no rule that says that they will limit their activity to collaborate only with AL or 'chetona'-type leftist or Mujib-badi parties. Especially when it has now become clear that the present cabinet is quite devoid of India sympathizer 'murkh' non-technocrat ministers per loud complaints of local India boot-licker journalists.

A simple search in google brings up the following,

https://www.dhakatribune.com/world/south-asia/2018/02/12/jmb-launches-india-chapter/

JMB cannot operate with impunity in Bihar, WB or Assam if RAW did not allow it.

http://www.catchnews.com/india-news...rror-module-s-reach-runs-deep-1470409058.html

There were also confirmed reports that the arms used in the Holey Artisan attack came from India.

Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB), Jagrata Muslim Janata Bangladesh (JMJB), Islami Chhatra Shibir (ICS) and other allied extremist parties and their adherents are all strongly allied and interconnected with those of mothership Jamaat-E-Islami (JEI). Don't let anyone muddy the waters by saying it is anything other than this.

At the time of need, like right now, all these banned parties will seek succor, residency and support in neighboring India. It matches the Indian govt. agenda (extremist or otherwise) to exercise leveraged influence against a less than friendly govt. in Bangladesh if the latter tilts too much toward China.

Does not matter if present cabinet acts in favour or not when the system is already set to give unreserved favour to India.

It is known that RAW propagated JMB to show the presence of extremists in BD intentionally and intently, and at the same time, RAW dictated AL to raise awareness against extremists during BNP era to evoke favour for them to get vote by using the advantage of the situation at that time. It was a ploy of RAW and AL was the beneficiary.

It is not plausible to assume that Jamaat-E-Islami is an allied party of JMB (an extremist party) as it dose do any favour to them politically but creating odds. I do not see that Jammat is a beneficiary of JMB's any action, rather JMB gives a pretext to AL and RAW to malign Jammat.

You have valid points - however I do not agree that this logic is as simple as it may seem. Too tired to write - so I shall agree to disagree for now.
