LAHORE: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that there will be no gas loadshedding in the next winter season as the government was making elaborate arrangements to cope with the crisis. He said that the government wanted to establish peace and eliminate terrorism from the country. He said they would make the country a centre of peace because peace brings prosperity.

He expressed these views while talking to Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif. Talks with the Taliban and the future strategy of the government regarding the ceasefire were discussed in the meeting. The two agreed that the future strategy after the ceasefire by the Taliban would be drawn with mutual consultation.

Later, talking to Saudi envoy Abdul Aziz Al-Ghadeer, Shahbaz Sharif said that KSA is Pakistan’s friend as peoples of the two countries had a cordial relationship. He said Pakistan valued its ties with the KSA adding that historic relations between the two countries were resultingin profitable economic activity.

He said the country was united under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif to get over the energy crisis. He said the KSA had helped Pakistan in hours of need like earthquakes, floods or other disasters. He said a recent visit by the KSA dignitaries had further cemented the bilateral ties.

He said that the Khidmat Card Scheme of Punjab and Youth Loan Scheme of Centre would bring a positive change in the society. He said such programmes meant to direct the country’s resources to the poor.
