No foreign hand in terror: Malik

.
T Faz, Just to add to your point, I believe that for a country or group to be able to foment trouble in another it requires, in addition to the ability to provide financial and military assistance, significant humint as well as a degree of ideological/cultural overlap and shared values with the insurgents in question (Pakistan in Kashmir, Russians in Abkhazia, Iran in Iraq and Lebanon, Turks in Northern Cyprus, Albania in Kosovo etc). India has neither vis a vis TTP or other secessionist movements in Pakistan and I would have thought it would be hard for the TTP or anyone else to justify accepting help from India or its proxies to its grassroots on ideological grounds, given their rabid hatred for anyone who does not conform to their rigid interpretation of Islam (unless you assume that they are nothing but a criminal syndicate, which by all accounts they are not)

The foreign support that is highly probable is through Arabic and Central Asiatic intermediaries who have a purpose and dreams of a Taliban like Emirate spreading across the Central and South Asian peninsula.

India was just built up as a threat but I feel India would not want to disrupt its economic build up with some silly ala Pakistan's 65 adventure.

I feel that foreign assistance, IF ANY, to terrorists in Pakistan is likely to be limited to passive acquiescence or occasional financial support, which in itself would be pretty ineffective in the absence of significant local involvement and constantly harping on about the 'foreign hand' only distracts the Pakistani nation from addressing the toxic domestic dynamics that is driving terror in the country. Anyways, I am glad at least someone in the Pak establishment appears to have initiated the process of reversing the brainwashing Pakistani public has been subjected to in recent years...

Financial and moral support even comes from extremist Pakistani diaspora in the west. Places like UK have more than enough hard-liners dwelling there who would want to establish an Islamic state in Pakistan.

Pakistan is at the crossroads, it could either remain stagnant with its current policies of faux Islamism and security apparatus or join its booming neighbors as an upcoming economic power. A booming economy will only enhance the military capabilities and make the state more viable.

Lets see if the damned establishment wakes up.

Rehman Malik has said this in Karachi's context but its amusing to see Indians jump on his this statement.

Rehman Malik ( and many other officials ) have said on many other occasions that india is actively destabilizing Pakistan .. What about those statements? Surely if Indians can believe one then they must believe the others too

This duplicity and blatant two faced denials over india’s support to anti-Pakistan activities is nothing new, we have seen this before

India now boasts and owns up to the support it gave to terrorists in 1971 so we have no reason to believe that India is not involved in the bombing and terrorists activities going on in Pakistan these days.

Rehman Malik is the same man who said that there will be no more drone attacks in Pakistan and during his epic speech American drone fired four missiles inside Pakistan.
He also claimed that there will be no more target killing in Karachi.
He also claimed that there is no Foreign Agencies in Pakistan like Black Water.
So I don't give a damn about his claim. It is just another Photo session with media don't take this serious. Our security agencies have yet not shown us the single evidence about all the happenings.

Exactly my thoughts..great post. Its heartening to see the voice of reason among the widespread ignorance and denial that is so much in evidence on this forum...

We all look forward to Pakistan becoming a liberal, stable and prospering nation (a la Turkey) as it would ultimately benefit the entire region.

Rehman Malik is the biggest lier in Pakistan.

He is the same guy who said there's no Blackwater or CIA agents operating in Pakistan. Then an American newspaper released news that CIA agents are secretly operating in Pakistan.

Rehman Malik should be hanged to death for his lies to the Pakistan nation.

Great video...

Not matter how these pathetic leaders try, they can't convince the Pak Army and the Pakistani Nation that, India and CIA are not behind TTP and BLA....

If CIA is in fact helping the insurgents, are pakistani army so spineless to be silent about that and still ask american military assistance(General kayani have more than twice asked american military assistance in fighting ttp)And about india, believe whatever you wish..there is no medicine for that.
