Personally hate these shows but that is why I chose not to watch them, as can anyone else who doesnt like them. Courts banning shows however is a dangerous precedent. What is the purpose of PEMRA then.

Ridiculous and pathetic shows with joke televangelists polluting the month of Ramadan. It was probably a year back [or before] when immediately after Maghreb Azan [Time for Iftar], watched people dancing on Aamir Liaquat show on Geo channel. Audience grabbing gifts like cannibals. It was shameful to watch. Pakistani Channels are out of PEMRA's reach and don't have basic morality in terms of respecting the Islamic month. They are way above rules, regulations all sorts of civil code. Really welcome this initiative as it will give tools necessary to regulate this medium which is out of control for now. Secondly every tom dick and harry has been given the right to speak on Islam if he has come to the channel studios. PTV had a superb set of preachers with great knowledge and foresight in the 90s. Setting a standard for channels to only allow certain qualified level of preachers is also great for viewers long-term.

Second thing im not happy this ban unless its implememted on all ramadan related transmissions which are complete shame for things they do in those shows, except pure islamic lecture shows. Shows like jeeto pakistan, sahir lodhis upcoming ramadan specific transmission and all such weird ones should be halted in ramadan.

Also this is the clip @Max was referring to some vulgar line that got popular from this show, the show host fiZa ali i have even previously seen her show director or producer purposely showing subliminallh lewd kind of things on his shows, and when isaw this clip it just felt so clear that woman was taught to talk like that on screen and speak in sexually desperate tone ijaaaaaaaaaaaaz sahab aarm say araaaaaam say

Well, I left USA despite being a national... for some good reasons.. Things are changing fast both in Pakistan and rest of the world...your opinion may not be the same after 2-3 years.. If the current tide of Islamophobia continues, Muslim in USA will get in trouble. There you may have to decide between your faith or your nationality .. well whatever you decide is your call.. But remember this world is temporary and even if you become billionaire, you will still die and meet your Creator.

I have faced a lot of problems in Pakistan rather one of the worst treatment I have received so far was on a Pakistani airport due to some corrupt officers and porters but my love for my country stayed unflinching Alhamdullilah.

While I faced a similar situation at another so called brotherly country's airport and never visited that shit hole again. Ironically I never faced any issues on US airports.
