Forget 5G, India is set to get 6G technology by 2023, Union Communications Minister Ashwini Vaishnav says
Union Communications Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has said that the target is to launch 6G technology in the country by the end of 2023 or early 2024.

5G smartphones are being launched one after the other in the Indian smartphone market. November 26 was set by the Government of India for 5G Trails, but the telcos have not been able to complete the successful testing of 5G networks fully. According to a recent report, India is moving fast towards becoming self-reliant for 6G technology.

Union Communications Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has said that the target is to launch 6G technology in the country by the end of 2023 or early 2024. Work is going on fast towards developing 6G technology. We will prepare it in our own country.

“6G development has already started. That will be seen somewhere in the time frame 2024 or 2023-end. That is the direction in which we are going. We will have designed in India telecom software for running the networks, manufactured in India telecom equipment, served in India telecom networks which can go global,” he said.

The bumpy road to 5G in India is not over yet, so can we really expect 6G by 2023?
At present, 58 countries have 5G networks as of June 2021, according to a GSA report. Truth be told, India is not among them. The question here arises where do we stand in terms of 5G implementation at the moment? India is yet to make its debut in 5G technology when almost all the well-known smartphone manufacturers have already unveiled the 5G enabled smartphones.

Technology has made our life so easy and provided us with many amenities that we could never have imagined before. It has not only improved the standard of living, but there have been revolutionary changes in the field of development of the world.

5G is one such technology emerging as the robust broadband cellular network. The fifth-generation cellular technology has not just increased the speed of downloading and uploading over mobile networks. But also delivered higher rates of up to 20 Gbps than 4G’s 1 Gbps (Gigabits per second).

India is yet to debut in 5G technology when almost all the well-known smartphone manufacturers have already unveiled the 5G enabled smartphones. However, none of the smartphones for 5G in India support the mmWave 5G spectrum and are limited to sub-6 GHz bands which only offer improved connection speeds over 4G LTE.

Union Minister for Communication Ashwini Vaishnaw recently said, “6G development has already started which will be seen somewhere in the time frame 2024 or 2023-end.”

Really? I don’t think so!

I'm glad there are no Chinese companies involved.
I think any large infrastructure project in India will have the same outcome as India's HSR project&India Commonwealth Games.
This is a country like a cesspit, and Japanese have fallen in it, we have to stay away from it.

I concur. The grapes are sour.

What sour grapes? India going to spend more money on infrastructures and slower progress while zero merit on quality.

China are more than happy not to help enemy like India. Even your rail minister asking China to rejoin the HSR which we of course reject.

Its now a more of India need China than we need India. if all China Boring Tunnel withdraw. India tunnel project will doomed or hold ransom of huge fee by Japanese and German.

I think you should wait for India to succeed at least once before replying to me.
By success, I mean to achieve success according to the planned time and budget like China.

It's going to happen in couple of years.

And don't compare with HSR network as land acquisition costs in India is huge, sometimes more than half of the project cost and India being democracy can't evict people at whim as they do in China, but telecommunication totally different game.

To give u a sample of digital revolutions in India:

Thats tech development not operationalising the tech. Its better to start early anyway.

The issue is with spectrum allocation, DRDO reportedly uses its network in same spectrum hence 5G deployment is becoming an issue.

To give u a sample of digital revolutions in India:

Australia is a democracy and when important infrastructure needs to be built the government evicts anyone at a moments notice. learn not to be a low IQ indian when trying to insult other nations please.

India gives cheapest 4G internet of all the countries in the world.
In next two to three years India will give cheapest 5G internet. :)

Very much sounds like wishful thinking. India makes lots of outlandish claims. I remember one about Mumbai.

Farmers are all very happy in India because of that?

I bet India will have 7G by 2025.

If u had any IQ, u would know evicting someone at moments notice isn't exactly sign of democracy. In India people have rights they have right to own property from which they can't be easily disenfranchised. They can legal recourse which takes years to resolve.
