No 17 ''Tigers'' Squadron First To Re-Equip With JF-17 Block-3

Should really melt the Mirages , and sell the scrap , should generate some cash
Donate it to charity

Or place in Museum , old planes on street look bit odd

Currently part of 36 TA Wing, flying F-7PGs from PAF Base Peshawar. Here displaying an earlier Tail Art.

That's tacky and over-the-top. Focus on action, not ornamentation.

Regardless, SALUTE to our pilots! Some of the best tactics around.

Nothing out of ordinary as Air forces around the world apply art on their aircrafts.

Didn't say they don't --- just that it's jarring! These examples have better artwork (aesthetically speaking!)
Rather odd as all the comments i read seem to suggest that this was one of the better effort by PAF to commemorate squadrons Golden Jubilee.

All current block 3 will be replacing pg so 17, 20 and 23 in next 3/4 years
All Mirages next after that minus the new type with few sqn ….

I Specifically mentioned front MAWS that only block 3 has which are visible from this angle, they’re present on the sides of the intakes. Rear MAWS (bottom of the tail) are present on all JF-17s including block 1. Block 3 has new 360 degree Hybrid MAWS system (on top of the tail and on the sides of the intakes)
Hard-points themselves (the rail or mount) are removable but there should still be a visible connector to the airframe.

I can them on intakes.

Why Peshawar gets everything first?
Ramadan first, Eid first, and now JF-17 Block 3 first.
Peshawar is probably the closest air base to the LOC.
