It's so selfish to think of these elections only through the interests of your own country, given that 60M+ people will be affected by the governance. Sarkozy has been completely incompetent, a puppet of Merkel's failed austerity policies. Hollande will help revitalize France.

Just FYI, India has been a free enterprise since the beginning. Our culture fosters entrepreneurship and free thinking from Aryabhatt to Sushrut to Tagore.

It was only for a brief period of 1947-1991 that we had a tryst with socialism and even that didn't go so well.

In international policy they have similar view except: Sarkozy being more pro NATO than Hollande, and Hollande wants the troups in Afghanistan to leave Afghanistan immediately.
