Latest PLAN SSK i.e. conventional submarines are 039 and 039G Song class, and Yuan class which is type 039A and some described it as 039B so this is subject to official confirmation from PLAN which is not available at this moment. The latest one off unit of experimental SSK with ICBM and SLCM capability has been officially classsified as type 032, this was previously mistakenly decribed as type 041 Qing class.

Now the latest as per attached photo may or may not be a Yuan class since this batch of photo do not show full picture of the submatine, it only show the forward sction. It could be improved Yuan or a new class of SSK and will be confirm when new clear photos come out later.

Here is the latest SSK with curved forward base sail.

I don't see any scupper on the 039C, great work out improvement there.

It looks more like US sea-wolf class sub.
