NEXT STEPS FOR PAC AND THE JF-17 THUNDER

even a country like Saudi Arabian has learnt its lesson that US is friends to none, Saudis used to import 95% of their weapons now they have set up a factory in Saudia in collaboration with South Africa to produce Artillery in Saudia,
We should also start producing most of our weapons indigenously !! make new partners spend more on R&D
Pakistan make partnership with saudia it is good saudia have money we have technology if saudia and pakistan made stealth medium weight fighter if her cost 4 billion saudia give 2.5 or 3 billion it is good for pakistan

Turkey is better candidate for this because Turkey has money as well as already on going 5th gen aircraft platform

Saudi decision making has a lot more complexities involved. I dont think it is as simple as you say collaborate the saudis collaborate.

The next step for PAC should,
How to build aircraft engine, which country will help in this field?
How to make air crafts weapons such as air to air missiles etc?
I personally think China does not train us in these fields,as USA train India.
i totally agree.. engines are main deal.
Pak cant afford to built entire plane and then wait for engine atleast they have to start it from somewhere, i think ukraine cant be helpful or Pak turkey can coproduce TFX and JF can have same engine.

Next step should be given free education on university level to talented students and send them abroad on more advanced education once they. Become at a level to invent something not only give them their required equipment but also let them teach other student in Pakistan pay them more handsomely so they never think of leaving a job service to nation

It makes sense ...but no matter what we do with the JF-17 ...it still would remain a medium-fighter ...going away from the F-16 also means choosing another frontline fighter alongside serious investment in the JF-17 ...PAF is not going to be crippled for sure ...the US has done such backstabbing with us at many instances ...how much have we learnt from that is however another story !

F-16 is a medium fighter but JF-17 being smaller than F-16 comes on the smaller/lighter side on the size chart. JF 17 Block III and Block IVs can be great fighters only if coupled with a heavy fighter like EFT, Su-35 and or J-31. So formation of JF-17s Block-III or IV lead by one Su-35 or EFT will pack enough punch especially due to the data linking and the info shared by the big brother's radar.

JF-17 is a big success. Pakistan should consider JF-17 block 4 and block 5 to complete the manufacturing of 250 JF-17s for PAF.

JF-17 block 3 will be a 4th+ generation fighter Insha ALLAH. We will secure more export orders of JF-17 after block 3 will be introduced. Currently myanmar has placed order of 16 JF-17 block 2.

Sorry ... But given the latest political developments in Turkey, they are going no-where....
"We have kept Turkey physically intact, but will kill her from inside. She will never be able to regain her former might and glory" - Lord Curzon after the Treaty of Laussane

The mother of all proxies, created over 40 years by the sharpest imperialist minds the world has ever produced, has been mortally wounded by 20 hours of public wreath. Some folks are clearly in panic mode. Dream on...

I do not dream but I observe some political tendencies I'm worried about. As such - and now I do not want to drift too much into off-topic politics - I think especially Turkey's chances to get EJ-200 engines for that type will disappear.

That's all.

TFX are going to get the Eurojet EJ-200 engine with TVC.

No ... That was my point. Given the current political situation, the EJ-200 is more than unlikely.

I understand your point, but looking at the prospect of the sales, the Eurojet might offer TFX the EJ-200 derivative or build another one based on EJ-200. After all OEM looks for Profit, is my point.
